It was a super shave. I feel sorry for folks that do not enjoy these kind of shaves often. The B-400 is just super. Feels great with that big ole boar knot.
Thursday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Williams B-400 by Tom Henckels Rapide Henckels Wedge CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Razor with a Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

11 January Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 25mm Synthetic, Maseto Shaving(MS) Soap: Arko/Williams mix, Homemade Stick Razor: Superior 1900 Handle: Jim Reproduction Blade: PAL (13) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse and Clubman Aftershave Photo: This is the same setup as I had on 3rd January but today it was done at home in the other bathroom that is now being shared with 3 other adults. Three passes left me with a DFS. I may have to go get some more blades from the store before the master bathroom is done though, "Oh whoa is me".
I am willing to dodge a few bricks from Fuzzy for using my Arko/William mix, cause it's just THAT GOOD!

Friday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Williams Mug Shave Soap B-400 by Tom Heljestrand Henckels Wedge CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Heljestrand Razor with a Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This will be my last shave with the Heljestrand. It finished very well. I got a great shave. It makes picking a favorite of the two very hard. I think though that I prefer the Henckels' comb to the Heljestrand's. As far as the quality of shave goes, it is a toss up. The blade today seemed better than the last time I shaved with it. I just stropped in on the leather about 40 times and put it away to send on Monday. Tomorrow, I will return to straights, but Sunday, the Henckels will be up for my last shave of the Pass Around. Thanks again, @twhite , for this fantastic opportunity.
