Mighty good shave today. I still don't get the tobacco reference in the soap, as I get more of a cocoa scent, but it's a performer and it does its job quite well.

I'm a big fan of Wecks when it comes to shavettes, as I find it easy to find the right angle with the large blade exposure. This one fits well in the hand and is becoming a favorite.

The Zenith brush is one I received in a PIF some time back. The very short loft seems like it would result in a very stuff brush, but with a light soak this thing lathers like a champ and has really grown on me. [IMG]

I'm not sure I'd want to see someone shaving their posterity. Maybe Natalia...

Carrying over from Decadent DECember's Focus of improved lathers means using plenty of product. I'm not consciously trying to use up any soaps, but I'm not worried about washing lather down the drain if it means my lather is top notch no matter what soap I start with.

Thank you Jason! Easy to make old gear look vintage. Next time I use my Futur Clone I might try for a Futuristic look?

While they are both tobacco scents, they are quite different, Paul. The fairly strong vanilla from Gentleman is absent in Lounge. Gentleman is one of my absolute favourites, fwiw.

I like The Lounge a lot. It smells like a soapy Tabac to me. If anyone has tried RazoRock Zi Peppino (could be misspelling that) then The Lounge is really close to that scent. Green tobacco scent. I've got a sample of Stirling Gentleman that will get some use soon.

Sounds like a great idea to me. As long as it doesn’t conflict with a family wedding I have in July, I’m up for it.

Keep in mind there are two types of "tobacco" scents. One is Tobacco flower, one is pipe tobacco type. They are very different. I like tobacco flower, but don't care for pipe tobacco.

Oh ok.....I think I'd go with Lounge, but I have tried a sampling of Gentleman and like it.

The "pipe tobacco" is Lounge, right?

I'm not familiar enough with them to answer that.

I'm guessing it is, since if the other tobacco is a flower scent, that appears to describe vanilla, not pipe-smoke.

Here is the scent description from Stirling:

THE LOUNGE: A beautifully clean, masculine scent. This blend exudes sophistication and class with notes of tobacco leaf, cognac, citrus, and a woody base. (Fragrance Oil)

    Oh-oh!!! Well, I suppose a safe backup could be Cognac&(?)from Crowne&Crane.

Funny how Agar was such a hit that it became a permanent offering. I liked the scent of The Lounge better, it took me a few shaves to warm up to Agar.

People really seemed to love the Agar. I didn't buy that scent and I'm okay with that since it's now a full time offering. I'll try some down the line perhaps. Way too many soaps at the moment!
