As you can see I’m somewhat of a Stirling fan myself. I’ve been using the bath soaps for about year now, and I can honestly say they’re the best I’ve used, and very reasonably priced. As hard as it may be to believe I’ve yet to have a Stirling shave, but that’s about to change here shortly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How’d you guess? Stirling’s Rose scent is great by the way, for the few of us that like it. It’s a clean rose scent, no earthy notes. Just petals but also some scent from the green parts as well. I REALLY wanted some Rose shave as well, but it wasn’t listed until the day after I placed my order lol. Oh well, just a reason to place another order! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I find it interesting that as of this post there are no reviews for the SPS aftershave. The soap does sound good though.
The scent is straight up pine tree. If you haven't tried one of the Stirling sheep soaps yet, I highly recommend it. I find they have an even better post shave feel than the already outstanding regular line. Good stuff!
The brush treated my face much better this morning! Makes me wonder what I did wrong with it the first time. Maybe I didn't soak it enough.
Doc Ezlovan will get a kick out of my shave this morning. The actual shave itself was great(Local Gent), but things went downhill after that. Forgetting that the Sandpiper A.S. was right at the sink, I reached into the cabinet for what I thought was the Piper. Immediately after smearing, I thought "Hey, Sandpiper doesn't burn like that...what's goin down??? Oh no...SPICE!!!! GETTHISOFFME!!! It's mild outside, not right for Spice, which was my thinking in getting out the Sandpiper. What a mixed up post-shave! That won't happen again tomorrow...supposed to remain mild, and I put the Spice way out of reach. My face today is the antithesis of what @Yehuda D would use on a cold day lol. You can fry an egg on this circular thing between my neck and hair( my face).
I have 22 tubs or pucks, and 24 bottles of AS. I have a couple/few samples in addition, I suppose. When I first started buying from Rod a few years ago, end of 2014 or so, I think at one point I had at least sampled every offered scent. But as the product line grew, and I also kind of figured out where my tastes lean, I slacked off a bit. I have some favorites that I have replaced, and am a sucker for new releases, so the number seems to keep at least keep stable if not be growing a little each year.
Between Stirling Clubman and Barbershop, I find Clubman to be more barbershop-like. I wish they'd keep it stock longer. My favorite scent would have to be sandalwood though. Very relaxing, take a big whiff of it now and then, even bought a refill puck and stocked up on the splash and balm.
