The barbed wire was the hard part.

Back from the doctor; I had to have an endoscopy. The good news is I don’t have an ulcer.

    I can't believe it!

Could be in for a sloppy drive over to the gym, but it's worth it.Otherwise, I've begun to make preparations for the family Colorado trip in June((I'm going out a few days ahead to do some exploring around, in case I choose that state to move to).

It’s sloppy here too, but I made it to the archery range.

Been feeling better the last few days, and I've caught up enough on my past invoicing that I may have all of my bills paid off by the end of February. It'd be nice.

My car wouldn't start this week, or it was very unreliable. I put in a new battery but that didn't fix the issue (don't get me wrong I had done 2 load tests on my battery in the last 4 months and the test couldn't even be completed because the battery was so poor! It needed to be replaced anyway).

So I wondered what it was, then this little man pointed out the issue!

I had an amusing afternoon. I was at the Archery range when someone knocked on the door. It was a plumber, sent by the landlord to make a minor repair. He had not been aware that the range existed and was very intrigued.

Before he left, he wanted to know if his 9-year-old grandsons were too young to try the sport. (They are not.) As soon as he left, he called up our club VP to book lessons for himself and the grandkids.

Hello, everyone! It's been a while. I'm finishing my sermon for tomorrow, then I'll be packing boxes. We're moving into a half-double in February. I'm an interim pastor, and the church has called a full-time clergy couple. So I'm unemployed as of February 28. The church was kind enough to let us stay on, including living in the parsonage, until I finish my chemo treatments in late February.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as "manly," so I'm not posting in that thread. But, I'm taking manly pride in this anyhow.

I'm not a baker by any means, but every now and then I get the itch. So, today's project was almond-cranberry-orange biscotti with the extra challenge of making them gluten free since some of them would be going to a sick friend with celiac disease. This is my first shot at making biscotti, but I used a family recipe. Instead of regular flour, I substituted King Arthur GF baking mixture. And, I have to say they came out good! (Slightly more crumbly than the wheat flour version, but hardly a difference otherwise.)

Happy to share the recipe if anyone's interested. It's very simple.
