I might have blade for the valet..if so I will put it in. With the razor I send. Wait...which GEM do you have. That way I can be sure to send you something different.
For some reason, I cannot upload a file straight from my computer, but a simple internet search yields this result. This one is not mine, but it looks EXACTLY like this one, the head reads the exact same. https://www.flickr.com/photos/matthew_wild/8555085326/?ytcheck=1&new_session=1
Hopefully, this will be better to read. Still not sure why I cannot upload from my computer, but this is the way the head reads on mine, and it looks identical
Ahhh a Damaskeene. You already have a 1912 style. Those shave great. I will send you something else to try out.

Posting tomorrows setup tonight. Wolf Whiskers brush (silvertip) MWF LadySea Creations 2 piece scuttle Valet Autostrop with a vintage Valet blade Kramperts Finest 80 Below (seems appropriate given we are expecting wind chills below zero the next few mornings)
Nice looking setup for tomorrow. Who replated your Autostrop?. They are truly a straight razor on a stick. What model is it?, I have a VC-1. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Ok, Im about to begin my dive into this rabbit hole called Single Edge shaving.... Wish me luck, and no worries I have a 228 OSHA approved first aid kit standing by. Video will be posted when the shave is over, unless, I slice my throat. In that case, it was nice to meet you all.
It will be hard to hurt anything with the Dammy. Keep the head very close to your face. The angle almost finds itself. Light pressure and......chargeeeeeeee
Well, I didnt need the OSHA first aid kit, and there was no significant loss of blood. I think I may have a new addiction that must be scratched now. I am hoping the video will upload, file may be corrupted, but never the less, here is a picture that I should probably submit to shave of the day. @wchnu its all your fault! Seriously though, I did enjoy it, and I cant wait to try it again.
Tonights shave Razor: ESF Rapide Blade: CV Heljestrand wedge Brush: B-2 2 band finest Soap: Secret formulation @americanshamrock AS: British Sterling Had a Fantastic 3 pass shave tonight. This soap is magical. I don’t shoot for BBS. I do 3 pass no cleanup. What I get is what I get. Tonight everything came together for a BBS I will take it. I must say when a wedge comes together, I think it is the best shave there is. I will be rubbing my face the rest of the evening. Have a safe and happy week my friends. I don't chase the baby either and find my shaves are usually comfortable and smooth. I do wtg, and then xtg, followed by some buffing along the neck and jawline to catch the stragglers. May not be bbs but it's very close and I have no irritation. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
It's the smart way to go in my opinion. If you have shaved totally smooth you have probably removed a layer of skin in the process and will more than likely suffer some sort of skin irritation. Sometimes I do get bbs when I shave this way. It all depends on what I'm shaving with on that particular day. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
