    Soap/Cream of the Day:
Sue Saint Charles Shea Butter & Avacado Oil Cream

    Result:
Didn't lather up like I wanted. Need to play with it. Smell is indifferent. Glide was better than average but cushion could have been better. I still ended up with a 4.6/5.0 shave. My technique is definitely improving since I am getting 4+ shaves consistently with no cuts or weepers in 3 weeks. I might dial the Futur up a notch soon.

I have both a D1 and a D2. Excellent brushes for soaps I don't use them as much as I should......the main reason being the fact that Simpsons recommend a painting motion rather than circulsr scrubbing ..which I prefer.

So, Joe, how's the BK8 treating you? After all my "marketing", sure hope you like it!

I concur. I slightly prefer the gel, but that and the milk are both wonderful -- and the milk has incredible staying power on the scent.

Treating me very well.....like you said in another thread, this thing is VERY dense. I don't think I've ever had a brush with this much hair in it (yes even more so than a SR). It is indeed luxurious (extremely soft), and I enjoy it very much.

    Bottom Line, BK8: :happy088

Grrrr.. and here I thought I was done with ordering brushes.

The BK8 is softer and denser than a SR 3124? Now I have to get a BK8.

    Cha-CHING! ;)

Most definitely denser than the 3124, but it does splay out quite a bit with pressure (which a SR 3xxx will NEVER do). I think I recall you not liking the C&E Super, which also splays out quite a bit. So just be aware of that before you throw down the dough. "Splaying" has become a quality I enjoy in a brush (not for every day use), but for a different kind of luxury than you get with a SR 3xxx

Thanks for the reminder! Yeah, I'm not crazy about a super-splayed brush... going to have to do some research.

    Saturday:

    Omega brush
    Dovo Bismarck
    De Vergulde Hand shaving cream
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    De Vergulde Hand a/shave spray

I think it took me 20 minutes to get this shave done, I enjoyed it so much, and then my wife kissed and hugged me and said "ah, sweetie, you smell so nice!" What more can a good-looking guy like me ask for? :p :rofl :rofl ;)
