My woman spends most of her the Philiiphines doing charity work, she is Korean, and has adapted to the weather. She called me yesterday to say it is cold, 73 :happy097:. She is coming to Korea Friday, fortunately we are having some warm weather and the high will be 41 the day she arrives. When I told her that her reaction was :shocked003:, then :sick013:. I didn’t tell her the low will be 20 over the weekend

I like the Gulch abides. Can we change your CT?

It's a light fruit and floral scent. Jeeves describes it as pomegranate and currant (juice/fruit) mixed with cherry and magnolia blossoms. I quite like it. It's not a heavy or obtrusive scent.

Out of respect for @NCoxSTL's decision to dig out the long, neglected puck of Williams soap, I decided to go with it today as well. It was a great shave! The lather worked well, it was slick and protective. The last three times I've used this soap I've been very pleased with the results. A year ago, I didn't care much for Williams. I could get a lot of lather but it quickly disappeared soon after I applied it to the face. I still used it once in a while, and I more often molested it by combining it with another soap or cream.

Encouraged by @wchnu's affection for Williams I used it a couple of times last week with the intention to not molest it. I may have come upon a Williams lathering procedure which works for me, at least. I keep the puck in this shave mug:
    IMG_2172.JPG

I souse the puck in hot water for a few minutes. I empty the souse water into an old coffee mug which I use to dip the tips of the brush in as needed. I've been using this Barburys synthetic brush the last few times. I usually liked using a boar brush on soap pucks but with Williams I'm finding this synthetic is producing good lather and it goes on my face thicker (too much water on the boar bristles I believe). I do not wet the brush bristles when I initially begin whipping the soap puck (the puck is still wet), thus I start with a dry brush. If I need more water I dip the tips of the bristles in the souse water and keep whipping the puck. I get plenty of lather and just apply it to my face. In this case, I did not wet my face (there's usually enough moisture in the brush and lather), and painted the lather on the face. It went on thick and at first a little pasty. I dipped the bristle tips in the souse water and added just a little moisture. As I've been doing most of the month, I'm lathering only a section of my face at a time while I shave with the Magic. Typically, I start with the right cheek, shave... then the left cheek, shave... and then the neck.

Months ago, I think I used too much water with Williams, in the soap, in the bowl, in the brush and on my face. I produced a lot of lather, fluffy and airy, but it dissipated quickly. Here I'm soaking it initially for a few minutes, but I'm not using a lot of extra water in the brush or on my face. So the lather is a little thicker, a little pasty going on but protective. And it wasn't a lot of work. I was lathering my face within a minute after I started.

This shave felt wonderful. My cheeks are smooth to the touch. My neck not so much, but it's DFS there. The post-shave was excellent.

    Happy shaves everyone!

Well I'm back at the Schick E2 this afternoon, and I received a very nearly BBS shave with only one weeper and no irritation. As I said before I'm not sure whether I getting use to the E2 or after 10 or so shaves the blade has mellowed out. Either way I am enjoying the E2 and I guess I'll find out if it's the blade when I need to change it. It is, much easier to get under my nose with it, but I will say it's too early to say that I'm sold out to the Schick. It is a reasonable razor, but I still enjoy DE razors.

Nice looking shave this morning. That Ogallala is my favorite Bay Rum. I’m reading this late, but I hope you didn’t get snowed under.

You are chewing through that soap. It is good stuff though. Do you think you could call that One Blade your favorite razor? Maybe favorite workday razor?

CRSW is some good soap. The OneBlade has certainly become my favorite workday razor and well on the way to becoming my favorite overall. I plan on using the OneBlade each work with for 4-5 shaves and working in other SE or DE razors for the remaining days of the week.

It’s mostly because my hair grows in so many directions, it takes what basically ends up being four passes to get ATG everywhere.

Shave from early this morning, but had to leave to go out of town all day to a meeting. I am back home now, but didn’t have a chance to write a decent post until now.
Off focus without the new to me razors, or any Jeeves products. 2nd use of this soap after purchasing it on Black Friday, and was inspired by Perry to pull out the ‘66’. 3 easy peasy passes, with a little touch up, and am completely smooth. I think I’ll change this blade. I have no idea how many shaves are on it, or which brand it was, actually.
The Bon Vivant seems to be a nice pairing.
    Have a great night all!
