January 2018 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

I need to stir up a small batch of this. Every time you mention it I think of Zoolander.



I found someone that made this on another site and I began making it due to my dislike to AV's scent, but liked it's characteristics. I like Florida Water so much that I buy it by the case.

 

Awesome! Williams and a superspeed! I am looking forward to how the next shave goes.

 

The Superspeed is still one of my favorites. Hard to beat for a quick, effective shave. There's a reason it was a staple for Gillette for as long as it was. Nothing fancy. Just gets the job done.

 

I have my Grand Fathers 1957 flairtip. Still a great shave. I like straight forward nothing fancy. Maybe why SE appeals to me so much.

 

One of my favorite Gillettes is the standard SS Flare.

 

I have the '47 SS and the '48 along with my '59 Flare Tip. They are all fantastic. I think I prefer the flare by a hair. If I dare to compare. When I shave over there. Without even a care. Sheesh. I have no idea why that became a post.

 

For good reason. I think my favorites are the OLD types...my 1908 single ring at the top of that list.

Anddddd just because...I made a big beef stew and johnny cakes the other night. Anyone up for left overs??

 

Too late at night or early in the morning for that. I just snacked on Cheerios before heading to bed.

@Keithmax Not much better then a Johnny cake. Just need cornbread batter and a hot griddle or skillet.

I have the same impression of Fine soaps. They are aptly named. They are "fine" as in middle of the road - nothing to complain about and nothing to rave about. I've considered getting one just for the Platinum scent, but I have too many soaps already...

Has the 30DC meetup already started, and I'm missing it?

 

Who would have guessed that one of my favorite scents in the world would be dirt with vanilla and lavender mixed in? Not me, that's for sure. I absolutely love B&M Lavanille soap and AS! Trying to rotate around soaps makes it a treat whenever I stop on this one. I'm also falling down on my photo duties, as I changed the case on my iphone so my upstairs charger doesn't fit and I have to charge it downstairs, away from my shave gear. Amazon to the rescue with a charger extender on the way. More pictures will be forthcoming in a week or two. Other than that, nothing to see here.
