Nice and smooth afternoon delight today! I'm beginning to think I may have found my shaving nirvana.... 2 pass plus touch-up BBS that's lasted 5 hours and still smooth as freshly finished!

January 19 - Jeeves Samples Day 2 - Fatboy Friday

Another day with the Jeeves of Hudson Street Abyss and - it's Fatboy Friday! Loaded a fresh Voskhod into the Fatty on 6, worked the Jeeves up with the 30 DC LE brush and had just a fine shave. Definitely rose scent in the Abyss. Subtle which is very nice. A couple of times during the shave I got a nice nose full of rose with the chocolate undertones, then it would fade, then another whiff.....very nice stuff. First rose scented soap I've used and I like the way it understates itself.

Two passes with the Fatboy and a little touch up to a near BBS and that's all I need. I'll stick with the Abyss one more day then move on. The other three samples I have are Turkish Bath, Private Study, and Velvet Jacket. Hope you have a great weekend!

Many thanks must go to a TSR/ATG member for letting me try the razor which I believe to be the one which kicked off the three piece AC safety razor revolution.
First impressions:
With its straight lines and angles it looks far more utilitarian than the curvy Colonial General. I must admit I find the General the prettier of the two.
On to the more important bit (imo), the shave:
To be fair it wasn't much of a test, having used the Cobra <20hrs ago, but it shaves quite efficiently and smoothly once you find the right angle. I didn't find this as intuitive as the sharp angled head would suggest but it's only my first go with it and think I'll have it cracked tomorrow.
A pretty good start to the weekend, and here's hoping you all have a good one.

Post: Hot water rinse followed by cold water rinse.
Aftershave: Witch hazel/Nivea face cream topped off with Pinaud Special Reserve

Skipped Friday, Saturday mornning’s shave the Filly got tapped again. Phenomenal shaver, coupled with a great soap topped of with the ultimate testosterone filled man sauce by Pinaud, and I’m smoother than dolphin skin and ready to tackle the weekend.

What a fantastic shave this was. The mentholated pre-shave soap from cooled my skin, softened up my stubble so that the Super Speed could skate across my face in two easy passes. The MITA lathered like a maniac and felt really cold, together with its great skincare. The Lucky Tiger and the Fougere Santal were a perfect finish!
