Said that right. It's amazing how much water you can feed that soap.

Spent a day offline and I’m catching up in the airport. One day’s 30DC postings can shorten a layover considerably. My takeaways:
    1. @9nein9 - welcome. As has been said, you are set for gear. Get 10 or so of any of the blades Neal suggested, follow the advice given so far, and work on applying “no pressure” and not thinking about blades, soaps, creams, etc for the next 30 days. You’ll be glad you did.
    2. @Norcalnewb has killed more soap in January than I probably will all year. Depressing. My only counterpoint is to quote one of my worst teachers ever who used to say “Variety is the Spice of life”. Usually she would say this about a kid in our class who collected calculators and asked remarkably dumb questions. When he’d say something stupid and the rest of us would get on him about it, she’d pull out the “Variety is the spice of life” quote. I don’t think she was helping him as much as she thought by saying this. Either way, I’m left to conclude that I am clearly “more spicy” than those of you killing one soap at a time.
    3. The 2 pass DFS- or BBS+ is now a given. Now rolling up on time for the next mission.
    4. Two girls participating in the hobby as well...

Nice photos, Randy! They ought to help use up some soap!

Great pics of some great combos, Adam. After about 5 shaves, I realized the MonoBilt was as good as I've had.

I have five of them (four ounce pucks from before tubs) that are around or under an ounce, and a couple that are under two. I expect I can finish off seven this year, if I don’t buy and get hung up on too many new ones.

Thank you. It is really my wife’s bike. I just haul her around on it. In the last few years I have had nearly zero time to ride, and have brought up selling it a couple of times. She has said no, so I figure it’s hers.

That picture was made on my North Carolina building lot. It is about 20 miles south of the Dragon. I have ridden the Dragon many times. It is a nice road to ride on weekdays but never on weekends since it gets so busy. Truthfully there are many better motorcycle roads close by that are not as busy with riders and law enforcement.

Very nice, I didn't know you were a local! Your point about better roads is valid. Many, many miles of good roads in that part of the western NC. I'm just north of Charlotte so we have pretty good access to the Blue Ridge mountains.

So, top girl needs to work a little more water into her B&M, and bottom girl put a little too much into her Williams?

Oh man I crack myself up.

    Seriously though, that’s pretty cute.

I found my 1924 to be totally unusable for me until I shimmed the blade with the spine from an old Gem blade. Then it suddenly tamed down and delivered a good shave.

I live and work in North Atlanta. During the real estate crash I bought 3 acres between Franklin and Bryson City NC. The property is only 100 miles from my home to its still a long day if you go up for only 1 day. Maybe when we can build up there once we get the girls through college.

Pre-shave: hot shower & Nivea Men Sensitive Face Wash
Brush: Cremo by Vie-Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Feather (lost count on uses but still performing well)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 AS Balm, Walgreens Cooling AS

I had intended to use the shavette today, but this morning I noticed that my shavette-induced cut on the temple from the other day had developed a new scab so I cleaned it up good and went with the vintage Tech. The Williams performed extremely well, as did the Tech. I did two passes and was finished. It was a DFS.

Happy shaves everyone! I'm off to catch up on posts.

Very cute, there will be some great memories for you and your daughters.

Thank so much , I'm going to do my shave tonight hopefully. I have a daughter too who has been hanging around my shave den . She's very supportive to my soap and cream collection and likes when I share so she can have a "BBS " shave too lol

That is very cool. My youngest daughter tells her friends "I am the son my dad didn't have". She is more right than wrong.
