Great haul! It's funny with those New Long Combs; the original handle seem to always fail. I have one on my desk next need a new handle. Beautiful heads and I'd keep it, but I don't like like the shave I get from them; just personal preference, I like them milder.
Received these today. If it weren’t for the green corrosion that ate away at the plating, this razor would have been mint! Ugh! The nos blades were nice though, cellophane wrapper is crumbling Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The handle looks like it is made out of a liquid it is so smooth and shiny. It's so nice I don't even want to use it, but the knot is an Elite Manchurian that I can't resist.
Wonderful Stainless Steel Barber Pole handle from RazoRock, for under $15 you can't beat it. My first run at a beard/goatee oil, and XXX didn't disappoint. The handle has found it's home on the new RazoRock Game Changer.
So how does the shave with the game changer compare to some of the other razors out there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From last weekends flea market adventures, 3 stones and a hone. The stones, a 2 x 4 Coti, a 6 inch labeled Washita and a 1 x 4 baby trans Arkansas. The hone is a 3 line Franz Swaty Vormals Marburg Austria. The Swaty is labeled "SRD Sole U.S,A. Licensee". The Coti is autographed by one of its owners. Everything came with what appears to be original boxes.
It's smaller than a cigarette pack . I want to use it but then again hate to as it is such a well preserved set .
Jackpot. Several blade in an obscure razor lot. $13.50. But, since I use Straight Razors, I might be waiting a while to try them. The ones I was really after were the Personna 74's, and the Wilkinson Light Brigades. The Wilkinson Sword Super Swords, and the Gillette Spoilers are both excellent blades too.
That's a great question, definitely a closer shave than the Mamba, the GC makes easy work of my stubborn area's, less passes means less chance for irration. If I were say what number on a Gillette adjustable? 6-7, but smoother, more forgiving. I get a better shave with the GC then I can with say my Weber PH. It's really hard for me to compare, as you know so many different elements go into one's opinion on gear. I will say I definitely will buy the final version, even though the test is mine to keep. I'm sorry if I'm all over the place and not really answering the question.
Man. I've been so on the fence about buying the Personna 74's, aren't these the ones Gents get 25+ shaves per blade? You may have triggered me into looking again. Wonderful Haul!!
