Thanks Adam! So the basic formula is a ratio of 2:1 witch hazel to Everclear (190 proof, 95% ABV). To that I add some other good face feel ingredients and some EO for fragrance. My recipe is as follows for ~100ml finished product.

60ml (2 tbsp) Witch Hazel
30ml (1 tbsp) Everclear
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Vegetable Gylcerine
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Vitamin E Oil
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Castor Oil
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Aloe Vera extract
15-20 drops of essential oil for fragrance.

There isn't enough alcohol in the recipe to keep all of the oils in suspension so you have to shake it before using.

I agree , Jason, the British Aristocrat Jr definitely is a mild shaver. And those vintage Gillette Platinum Plus blades are sharp and smooth and work very well in it. Doesn't mean I can't slice myself up being stupidly careless though...

 

I'm still putzing around with a slippy clutch. Fortunately the ground near Interstate 10 is mostly flat. If I get a running start I can get across the river. Otherwise I take my time, pass through The Bluff, have supper with my folks.

I'm hoping to make it until the cold weather passes. I've changed the clutch and associated parts in this truck before, but I had my mechanically inclined daughter to assist.

 

I will definitely get it at some point. After I get some of these soaps worked down, I would like to keep a slightly smaller inventory, so my list will be shorter.
