    Apollo head on RR titanium handle, Nacet (2). A more modern aluminum guard/Zamak cap closed comb on this Solingen Apollo yields a very mild but efficient shave. Any help with dating this bad boy (60s?) would be appreciated.[​IMG]

    Blade: Astra S/P
    Brush: 'Mama Chub' (Chubby 2 Two Band)
    Soap: Skullbuster Soaps: Kumbaya
    Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Wholly Kaw: Fougere Bouquet ASB

    Well, I was beginning to look like a hobo, so I decided to give the Skullbuster a baptism of fire, and opt for the #4 plate on ‘The Rock’... And what a fantastic shave it was! Kumbaya lathered up to provide an awesome base that was slick, and offered the cushion and protection that I was hoping for... In fact, I was enjoying my shave so much that I did extra passes just for the fun of it... Sublime!

    Beautiful photo of a very clean classic razor. Was that taken with a cell phone, or do you use better equipment ?

    I've been experimenting with adding a couple drops of AS to my lathers if the soap is light on scent. Do you have any particular favorite combinations when doing this?

    Jamie, where is that balm from? Never seen it before. I like mentholated balms. The Stirling Glacial unscented balm I have is terrific!

    To date I have only used the Birch Tar and Cade EOs as I just love the smokey smell. I have Mandarin and Juniper Berry sitting on the sidelines
