I have a no name plastic shavette that uses the half de blades that I picked up in a beauty shop for about 3-4 dollars.I also have an all steel shavette that takes the long single edge blades.Out of the two at this point in time I prefer the plastic one.It is lighter and easier to control. Both use the sliding insert method of blade mounting.I wonder does the folding blade holder method change the balance?

But people this is a good way to get into another method of shaving. And you will have to pay very close attention esp around the curve of the jaw line or you will bleed.....You may exhibit symptoms of RAD after using a shavette,go on Amazon or the Bay and you can find them for a dollar or a hundred dollars,All sorts of styles, materials colors ,shapes.

Too many, in fact, to remain within the scope of this thread.

Not in, as I have plenty of shavettes. But I love this PIF.

Anyone figure out what's wrong with this PIF yet?

    Hint: it's Jim's fault!

Once we get some newbies suckered in...um, I mean, once we get some more shavers focusing on becoming adept at using potentially dangerous but inherently useful tools with proper technique...I may just jump in if there's something new to me.

Alright, I gotta take a guess now.....

1 - 30 de blades = 60 se shavette shaves, assuming a fresh blade every day, lots of practice
2 - 6 rounds 45 acp = no wheelgun = not fair even by Russian rules
    either way...casualties

Depends. If that ammo was made in the Tula Arms Works, it could be quite unreliable.

Well, he's known for brushes, so I thought I'd take a stab at it.

    1) not a factor... Just spreading love for my fave two labels.

    2) 45ACP was a joke that shavettes likely will nick the user during the first few uses. No way around this. Didn't want newbies to think this is a SR intro razor. It's not, it's a professional tool used by barbers.
