I load the brushes very heavily and then add the water which causes me to go through soaps and creams at a rapid pace. On the positive side, it is rare for me to run out of lather. My motorcycle buddy, Wade only shaves twice a week and he goes through several soaps a year. I guess that means there are people that load even more heavily than me.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline
    Razor: Schick G4 '66' injector
Brush: Ever Ready 100T with TGN Finest badger
    Lather: Wholly Kaw Jamestown Gentleman
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave
    WTG, touch up

I got a few samples in a trade with Kevin (tiredricefarmer) including my first Wholly Kaw soap. This is the Jamestown Gentleman scent which fits nicely into the Tobacco Tuesday theme. Excellent lather created with a new-to-me brush that I got from @clint64. The soap behaved wonderfully although I could've incorporated some more water. It's always interesting to use a new soap and to find it's proper water ratio. Anyway, a really nice shave overall. The Proline blade worked well in the 66 and all came together as it should.

    Have a great day!

Nearing the end of the month and I’ve almost used all of my products this month. The downside is not every pairing makes sense.

Once you know the angle and can judge it by the feeling of the blade you are ready for aggressive razors and straight. I rarely get irritation from a straight razor shave, I can just feel when I’m getting to aggressive.

The Kent BK12 is a decadent, luxurious brush. Sounds like a wonderful shave.

The soap assassin strikes again! Congrats Clint!
Fantastic photo, Jim! The new brush looks great!
I've already commented on this photo in the injector thread! :love055:
Awesome setup! Where did you pick up the cool wave ? I haven't seen any locally.

Good shave with Barbasol and the Avon 4 Men Maxwell '23 Tribute this morning. Now onto the soaps. As mentioned previously, I think I'll try one soap per week(4 shaves)to help get the "suds" going. I have a solid enough lineup for rotation.

Walmart has it as well as Stetson. In fact Wal Mart has a surprisingly great selection of Aftershave

Pretty cool that you've rotated through almost all your products during the month. This pairing looks great to me.

Great photo Amigo. :happy096: I bet that brush gives a full face feel. The top of the knot looks huge. Very Cool.

That's the first of several I have on the ropes. Nuavia Rossa has started the hole of death with the container just peaking through. It will still take some time since I am only using it on Sundays. The Fine Platinum is getting closer but being a harder soap is putting up a good fight.

My goal with using up soaps and aftershaves is to get where I could conceivably use all of my products in a month. Considering I can't shave every day, that means only about 13 soaps and 13 aftershaves. That means I have a long way to go, and I just found a few more I want to try...
