    The MAC IS BACK! shave
    Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash
    Hot towel
    VDH Shave Oil
    VDH Lusury Soap, face lathered
Heirloom Gillette Milord, Gillette Silver Blue (4)
    W/X/A, touch up's
Cold water, witch hazel, Nivea Sensitive Shave Balm
    Domain cologne

I'm back! I sold almost all my stuff after giving up on wet shaving over a year ago. All I have left are a couple heirloom razors. On a whim, I dug out the Milord and some Silver Blues last week. I still had the VDH in the closet. It face lathered much better than I remembered. I've since had 3 acceptable shaves with this outfit. Imagine the smallest part of a milimeter you could feel with your finger. That's the difference between this shave and a shave with a Sensor Excel. Negligible.

So, once again you will benefit from my wit and wisdom!

Can anyone recomend a razor that shaves like a Milord? I think I need to stay away from open combs. Even if I have to stay a minimalist and stick with one setup, I'm happy to be back.

Easier to use than the 1924 as far as hitting some tough spots.

Welcome back! A Milord is a gold plated Superspeed, so a Superspeed should shave a lot like it.

Welcome back. Glad to see you posting again. I have a Milord and imo, just about any Super-Speed will give you a similar shave feel. The '56 Flare Tip is one of my favorites.

Another great shave - this time with a soap I haven't used in a long time. This Paradise Frost from Mickey Lee has it all. A beautiful, refreshing citrusy scent, it lathers awesome and it leaves a comfortable post-shave feeling. There's a bit of a cooling sensation as well. The Amici aftershave's scent paired very well with it!

    Enjoy your day!
