    I used Special Reserve today following my shave... a few minutes later the wife said, "Oh, you put on that 'old lady' scent. The one that reminds me of my old Aunt Florence." I tell you this, not to discourage the use of Special Reserve, but to agree scents are not only subjective, they are also deceptive or fickle. My wife has complimented and liked Special Reserve previously. Today I had just put it on so it was quite strong.

    I never molest modern Williams because I don't have any. Guess I ought to pick up a puck since I've seen it on the shelf. A couple drops of scent to an old flavorless Williams Stick is enhancing my experience without affecting the lather.
    If I like the latest formula I might try that Cavendish Transformation. (Grated soap puck + pipe tobacco) * give it time to meld.

    It's good you're not concentrating on getting a BBS. I made that same mistake. My goal is a great shave which means feels good. Well-done!

    Just had another great shave and I think I surprised myself . 1 pass with a bit of cleanup on the ol noggin and a wtg and xtg on the mug with a quick touch up. This super speed felt too light when I first used it but now I want to kiss it( without a blade in it of course) . The 30 day rule doesn't seem like a strict rule and the proraso green is becoming my friend. All is good in shave land tonight.
