I know all about reflections in shave products . Watch out for those AS bottles, they'll get you if you aren't careful!
Great photo Mark. The brush looks fantastic. Another wonderful photo Jason. You are off and running for February. Great lineup and photo John. Happy Friday.
Another great filter effect, Jim. That one is really cool. Glad you enjoyed your new soap as well. Resistance is futile, Perry... Timeless makes some of the most beautiful looking top cap/ baseplate combos, imho. Stunning photo, Clint. You have some super cool vintage brushes, Mark! A one pass DFS? Great stuff! Fashion February? Now you tell me...
Thank you Jason. Timeless does make some fantastic products. Best of all they actually work as well or better than they look.
oops..I meant to preface my comment by quoting the gentleman who said he makes such a mess when his soap spills over.
I received my Yaqi DOC head yesterday and had my first shave with it this morning. The blade was a brand new Astra SP and the handle was from a DeFitch. General impressions- The head seems to be well made with no obvious issues. The overall design is similar to a Gillette Old Type, except for the slotted cap. One noticeable feature is that the teeth on the baseplate seem short; this is especially noticeable when a blade is loaded as the edge comes very near the end of the teeth. The short comb tends to give the razor a lot of blade feel; I don't know if this is by design, but it should be of interested to those who say that the GSK and PAA razors are too mild. I can't really say if the slotted cap made any difference, though. I suspect that the "lubricating" feature was overrated, but that the smaller surface area might be helpful in cases where the lather was very dry or insufficient. Overall, I had a very close shave with no issues and only a mild tingle from the Alum.
I came CLOSE to doing a one-pass this morning,, but went for the 2, and decided I was glad I did, as I got A FEW whiskers the second time around.
SOTD 02.02.18 Timeless Bronze .78 OC Gillette Silver Blue Stirling Accessories Today I continued the consummation of the Bronze OC with a fresh GSB. It's been a while since I've used a GSB. I was reminded what a smooth ride it provides. Great blades. My Vanilla Sandalwood soap begged for a rest, so I grabbed the Dunshire. Great scent. Every time I shave, the Stirling soap just amazes me at how easily it produces buckets of lather. Overall, great shave. I am most proud of the restraint I was able to muster to by-pass the Gillette Adjustable Friday temptation. My Gillette's are getting lonely.
