What? You've been talking to my wife? How did you know?

Thanks, Jim. The NEW belongs in a favourites month!
Thank you, Clint. I think I am lovin’ favourites month.
This begs a question- are there any Russian Gillettes that you DON’T like? I haven’t found one yet.
Thanks, Andrew. Both these OS products knock it out of the park.
More beautiful artwork from your wife, Dan. How do you like the Reuzel? It is for sale at a local barbershop, but I’ve never bothered looking too closely.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

My first soap purchase back in 2014 when I started was a tub of Proraso green, not counting the VDH Deluxe puck in the kit with the bowl and brush. I used Proraso exclusively for the first two or three months then added Arko and a few more after that. I have used all three Proraso soaps and I would say the Sandalwood is my favorite by a hair over the green. The White tub for sensitive skin doesn't seem to lather quite the same and doesn't trip my trigger with the scent but it's still a good soap.

I just have a mental picture of all of us peeking out the door of the bathroom with the lid open on a tub while we sniff it. I suppose in your case we've confirmed that picture of you.

Are there not 4? Or is the Blue in Cream form only?

One word answer to that question for me. Rubie.

The good news is after 30 lathers you won't have to wonder how that Proraso Green soap works. Same for your other equipment.
Just when you get it figured out, time for a shavette?

Blue is in cream form only, or at least as far as I know. I've never seen a blue tub.

Voskhods may be a blade that you and I differ on a bit. I liked them enough to get a 100 pack, but I find myself reaching for a lot of other Russian Steel first- Nacets, Astra SPs, Polsilvers, Sharp Star (thanks for the recommendation a year ago). Even a few others Russians I don’t have in bulk, but have a tuck or two of like Wizamet IS or Perma Sharps I seem to enjoy a little better. First world problems, though, as they will all work.

Where's Steve @swarden43 when we need him? As I recall Proraso releases a new product as a cream. If it catches on they then offer it as a tubbed soap.

If I had any they'd be yours. I stopped including them in the multi-brand packs quite awhile back - but there you go - anyone with Rubie's they don't want - John will take them!

Glad you finally got the Proraso Red soap, Jim. I love that stuff.

    Thanks, Jim.

    Thank you, Jason.
This is only the second time I've used the Reuzel. I was not impressed with the lather the first time because I couldn't build a very good lather. I don't remember exactly what went wrong then. Too much water, maybe. I don't remember what brush I used. This time I focused on not using too much water (it's a soft cream in a tin) and slowly adding water if needed as I bowl lathered. I was able to get a reasonably decent lather this time. But I worked it for several minutes, mostly because I was going to do a head shave and wanted to make sure I had enough. I especially love the scent though. It smells just like Proraso Red.
My wife bought it at a local barbershop which is where she gets manicures. She told me they sell other wet-shaving products but we never get around to going over there for me to take a look. That's not really a bad thing... like I need more stuff, right?

I don't mind. Every few minutes I've been taking a sniff of the shave cream sitting next to me on the desk.
