With the revised No 3 plate this Razor really works for me, not aggressive but superb blade feel that allows you to chart the progress of a shave, efficient and forgiving. I have a harsh beard and need to Shave daily,
now had 4 consecutive Shaves with Supply, all have been of excellent quality with no post Shave problems.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
Brush: Ever Ready 100T restored with TGN finest badger
    Lather: Stirling Sandpiper
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Sandpiper aftershave
    WTG, XTG

First use of the Black Hawk in a while and I tried out a new Schick Proline artist club blade. @Linuxguile was able to run some down for me. Great blade! Felt a lot like a Kai Captain mild. Smooth and comfortable all around. Stirling is always a great choice. Enjoy your weekend!

Second shave with the Bunny. This time with middle plate. I did not think much of the shave until after it was done. Wow what a nice shave though. Easy DFS+. The older Williams loves the new horse knot too.

Have given up on my usual application of Alum when using this Razor, which though very efficient is quite forgiving, and so far have had no mishaps or the slightest hint of soreness. I appreciate the choice of different plates , but I personally feel no need to stray from use of Plate 3 [ V2],as it really delivers great Shaves.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Old Spice Musk Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1905 Lather Catcher Razor using a Personna Pal CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Jim, I'm curious. Will you give one of the modern cs blades I sent you a stropping on lather just to see what it does?

@Linuxguile , I revised my shave for today. I used the Personna Pal CS SE blade that I stropped 20 times on the linen side and 20 times on the leather side. I must say, that it gave a very smooth shave.

All of you guys talking about carbon blades got me to try one and I got a great 2 pass DFS. I found them tuggy when first starting SE shaving, but it was my technique then and not the blade.

Thank you Tom. I really enjoy the razor but it looked pretty rough. So I decided to have Nick at Sport Shaving replate the razor. Now it is my favorite vintage razor.

I found the same. Now I will not use anything but Carbon. I can get 6 great 3 pass shaves before the Blade starts to tug.

Clint. Thanks for the tip. I may do that to mine one day. Did you go nickel?

Yes I went with nickel. It is not perfect since there are still some little spots that could not be buffed out before plating. However, I am very pleased with the results. I have a boxed Damaskeene SB with blade bank and all original blades that is in excellent condition. I felt guilty using it so I was very happy to find this one that I can use and not worry about damage.
