RAZOR: Sabi 3-piece - chrome (3 inch handle, medium weight)- a mildly aggressive razor for me.
BLADE: Feather Hi Stainless Blade- this is the 4th shave on this blade.
PREP: hot water wash with Ivory Soap, followed by hot water rinse
PRE SHAVE: - Burt's Bees 100% Natural Shave cream
BRUSH: Cremo/Vie-Long Horse Hair - 2nd use from new
SOAP: Williams Mug Shave Soap- face lather
MUG: IKEA Clear Glass Coffee/Soup Mug
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse followed by application of CRYSTAL deodorant (deodorant stone - potassium alum)
    AFTERSHAVE: Aqua Velva Ice Blue
BALM: Gillette AS Gel followed later by Nivea AS Balm (not pictured)
    SABI_Cremo_Vie_Long_Brush_BurtsBees.jpg
Wonderfully smooth, close shave with this razor/blade combo. The exceptionally sharp Feather Blade is a great partner with the mildly aggressive Sabi.
I enjoyed a full 3 passes with this setup, giving me a complete BBS shave with one minor touchup. No weepers, blood or irritation of any kind. NICE!

I was pleased that the Cremo Horsehair brush had lost almost all hints of "eau de stable". The lather was also very rich and pure white - no brown tinting.
This was my 1st use of the Burt's Bees Shave Cream. I applied it by hand as a pre-shave cream. Consistency thick like a cold cream, but thins out on face.
It has a very unique aroma - definitely NOT barbershop. Almost medicinal or chemical to my nose. Unexpected. I have had this tube for a few years.

The application of CRYSTAL deodorant (deodorant stone - potassium alum) after the shave verified that I had done a superb job.
The Gillette AS gel was nice, but later in the morning, I felt dry and used the Nivea to take care of that.

    Have a great Superbowl weekend!

Yeah they're very good! Nice and smooth. I think that's the best way to describe them. Opened it up to a 7.

Last Night's Shave - 02/02/2018 - CROWN KING Sea Salt - this a rewards loyalty offering and is a tribute to the Swedish Dreams Sea Salt Soap & it smells just like it with the signature PAA Cologne skin nourishment and long lasting scent. I wanted a quick shave and was not looking for BBS and I used the OLD SPICE TRAC II handle and mug from a 1985 Gift Set - the blade is a NOS Vintage Schick Ultrex with the Genius Cleaning method and it works! The Non Pivoting TRAC II handle does take a little skill is not dummy proof like the Atra was. Nothing wrong with Cart shaves :)

I remember Grey Flanel....I'd probably like it much better today than when I first used it(gift from my X-brother-in-law, so it was probably around 1990). Why is that? Because I'd have a better appreciation of its sense of maturity and sophistication.
