06 February 2018 Very satisfying 2 pass, minor touch-up, DFS+ shave this morning. Probably ride out the week with this set-up. Cream: Proraso Red Brush: Omega S10065 synthetic Bowl: Dollar Tree Salsa Razor: Fatip Grande Blade: Gillette Nacet (3) Aftershave: Pinaud Special Reserve
Gem MM Clog Pruf razor Gem Stainless blade Omega 10066 boar brush Williams SS (modern) Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol Long time since I last used modern Williams and it showed. Got a decent lather but not a spectacular one as I have in the past. So I think I will use Williams the rest of the week to get my mojo back. Still ended up with a nice shave and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks
Gotta give a shoutout to @Drygulch for passing along some samples to me for my soap review thread. I'm enjoying the samples, and am up to 42 reviews and counting. Unfortunately, shaving with samples means my soap containers aren't very conducive to pretty pictures of shave gear each morning. So, to remedy this, I'm inserting a pretty picture of my complexion after the shave.

Great setup as usual, Bob. How was the Highlands aftershave? Is it comparable in scent to any others you use or know of?

Thanks Primo. It is the name of the outfit; Prohibition Style Accruements. This is a nice cream. Smells like a smooth light Bay Rum such as Mount Gay with a touch of tobacco.
Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: Semogue 1470 Cream: T&H No.10 Razor: Cobra Blade: Schick Proline P Post: Warm then cold water rinse, T&H No.10 PSB. I love the performance and smell of this cream and when I saw it on a sotd on another forum all other options quickly disappeared. A fantastic shave is such a great way to chill out after a long day.
A really cold one for Wednesday morning: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra day 6 First Canadian Polar Vortex SS Diana Menthol Balm Osage Rub AS Splash Preferred Stock Cologne An Astra on its sixth day works better than a Derby on any day - at least for me. This Polar Vortex soap has awesome lather with a HELL of a menthol punch. I'd say it's about as strong as Rod's Frozen Tundra so it's right up there. I'm not a big fan of the scent, but I've seen worse. Its post-shave care is also not the best but I've got the Diana balm to look after me and the Rubby Dubby Doo to put the proverbial "icing" on the cake!
I like it . I use it as balm sometimes too. It's good stuff. It doesn't smell like classic Pinaud though .It has a clean , slightly Brut scent.
