BLADE: Derby Professional blade - 8+ shaves on this particular blade
BRUSH: Fendrihan Synthetic Brush - black "tuxedo" knot
BOWL: Repurposed desert bowl
PREP: Hot water wash with Ivory soap
SHAVE CREAM: AXE Denim Lather Shaving Cream (with moisturizers)
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse.
AFTER SHAVE: Pinaud Clubman VIBR
BALM: Maison Collection Hand Lotion Blush Grapfruit (not pictured)

Exquisite 2-pass shave with touchups. BBS in all places except for 1 spot under the chin (noticed later in the day). I am still perfecting technique here.
I really enjoy my straight razor shaves - just not the blade prep & stropping. I can get a great shave from my shavette with 95% of the enjoyment/ 0% prep.

Haven't used this cream in a LOOONG time. I prefer shave soaps. Axe is a good cream. Nice scent, good substantial lather, and NOT drying for me.
The crystal verified that I did a good job - no burn, just a tingle under the chin.

Got it, thanks. I have been on a Bay Rum binge lately and I am surprised how many "Bay Rum" scents miss the mark (IMO)

 

Shovelhead (round tooth version). I got no issues here, great shaver. Can't help but wonder whether the 1909 shave is much different.

I agree with you on missing the mark with some on the market. Bay Rum with pine, fir or juniper berries? Not for me thank you

Second shave with the Gem carbon blade from @Linuxguile, this time in the E-R Little Lather Catcher. I went with three passes and ended up with a smooth BBS shave.

 

Dusy smells and performs EXACTLY like Klar Kabinett. It is available here, but they do not ship overseas. I have family in Germany and they bring it to me when I ask them to. Lovely rose. Thick lather, but not as slick as tallow based soaps. Worth trying if you get an opportunity.

Ah ok. I have the Klar Kabinett and I love it. I was told by a guy from the Gut Rasiert group that it was originally made for a customer who was looking for a rosy-scented soap with good lather. I have a whole container here in the house. My wife loves the scent also and she wishes I'd use it more often!

As long as you have a stash of Klar, you aren't missing a thing with the Dusy. The ONLY difference is Coconut Oil vs. Palm Oil.

 

Very little difference, in that case. The Klar is a fabulous soap.
