While out wandering yesterday, I dropped a package off at UPS. James @LOOT will receive a couple shave related item to help fill up his den. Then I visited a local pharmacy to refill my Feather Hi-Stainless stash. The owner is a Wet Shave enthusiast by association; his friend Showed Him The Way. He made space in his shop to stock Proraso products and a couple custom brushes. He convinced me to try Cheeky Maiden shave soap made in Tucker Georgia by gifting me a puck. Although I'm a fan-boi of tallow soaps, I took it for a lather. The ingredients list may have shaded my impression.

Saponified Oils of Olive, Coconut, Palm, and Castor, Lavender essential oil, Bergamot essential oil, and French Green Clay

I've read that olive oil defeats lathering. Starting with a good two days growth I rubbed the puck on my wetted beard. Face lathering with good still stiff boar brush it looked hopeful. By the time I had razor in hand the lather had dissipated to almost transparent. The puck had received a little sousing and the brush had loaded well so I went to the bowl after rubbing the puck on the textured inner surface. An airy lather happened. More soap loaded from the puck just didn't give me that clown paint thickness. First pass with the Clone surprised me! While the lather has lost it's air bubbles, the slickness worked well. Relathered from the well loaded brush, second pass confirmed that the glide is present. Third pass and clean-up and the scent is going strong - more spicy citrus Bergamot than Lavender. The Chinese Futur non-copyright breaking DE liked the soap. It rinsed easily from my gear and didn't leave my skin feeling dry. A splash of Heroic AS and I'm glad I tried a new to me product!
    Good Shaves Y'all!

I did miss that. But it's ok since you have the good stuff.

I am warm and wellllll Fuzzy.

The cool kids use SE stuff...just saying.

    BULLY!!

    Blame a way

My oldest is a 1890 model Kampfe. I also have a nice 1900 Superior. Old school is me.

Love Burma Shave!! I have a cake that I use. I see later you did not get a good lather? Whut a shame. The brush works good for me too. I am pretty sure I did a video with it, sometime I will hunt it up?

Glad its getting better. Wait till you fire up a lather catcher!!

Crazy people here? I try to keep my distance.

    Whutever.

Awesome that your doing good. Shavettes are deep dark side.

My shave this morning was my last with the Bunny. I will be sending it on to the next user for the passaround. Still on my month of Williams. Used my small travel boar and travel container of Williams. Great shave.

    SharptoothC I bite..........

The lather started off pretty good. It just dissipated quickly. With the brush, the issue was funk moreso than function. Gotta get that stink out.

Ahh sorry missread on the brush. I just put a new horse knot into a vintage handle. Love the look. It's pretty easy to tell where on the horse they got the hair from.

Thanks gents. I used the same setup today as yesterday with one small nick but otherwise great results. I'm just taking my time and really enjoying the process. Oh yeah, I loaded up on the PARFUM afterward. :)

Try some mane and tail shampoo on it. That will rid the horse smell
