And IIRC you have a sidebet with Jason @jtspartan and me that if we fall off the wagon, Jason owes you a brush handle and I owe you a knot of your choice...

Backin business with a better brush(and less expensive), Jared!
    That Stirling Tuxedo looks awesome.
Very nice pic, Clint! Did you have to apply a lot of soap to your face to fill up that big Flat Top?
    Awesome shot, Jim!
Nice setup, Perry! Is the Personna more mild then the Type L ?
    Fantastic photo, Mark!
You must be using the Gentleman before the misses wakes up :scared007:. Great shot Jason!

    Razor: Schick Injector Type D
    Blade: Personna injector, third shave
    Brush: Satin Tip The Purest
    Lather: Tabac
    Aftershave: Baxter Of California ASB

Another super smooth shave with the Type D this morning. The Tabac was smooth, slick and creamy as always! Have a great day my friends!

That is correct. So can I interest the two of you in some new soaps? No? I highly recommend the OCMM...available on ebay. No?

Thanks, Andrew! I think it is milder, but tomorrow I'll shave with the L1 to get a better comparison.

Alas, I poked the bear this morning, Andrew. Didn't get a comment though, which is an improvement...

    Supply V.2 matte black injector on two-dot plate / Personna ( 1 )
Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush
    Italian almond frankensoap
Alum and Clubman VIBR and styptic pencil

I got a better lather experience out of the Semogue boar brush today. The trick was that I didn't soak the brush. Instead I just dipped it in water and then loaded the soap heavily. The brush stayed much stiffer, giving it decent backbone. I expect I will eventually yank the knot and replace it with a Tuxedo anyway.

I like the Supply V.2. It's one of my favourite injectors. It can bite if I am careless though. Today I ended up with a couple tiny weepers in my goatee area and one under my nose that needed the styptic pencil to shut up. Otherwise the alum was quite quiet and two passes gave me a good DFS. The VIBR rounded off a good shave.

Wonderful combo, Clint. Another great start to a day!
What's this? An actual DE in a 3oDC SOTD shot this month? Shocking...;)
    Another great filter effect, Jim!
Yes, an easy and mild shave is never a bad thing indeed, Perry. Another nice picture as well.
    Another nice combo, Mark!
Is that one of your prototype injectors, Andrew?

  12. RyX

    RyX DoH!

Two out of Three. Doh! Skin stretching is something I've always done, even back when I used cartridge razors. Someone called it "making shaving faces", then when you rub an alum block on finger tips for extra grip it's next level stuff.

The problems arise when I forget what I've forgotten. I guess if I remembered what I forgot... Oh yeah! Skin stretching!

While I already have my 2018 TSD Calendar from @Douglas Carey , I found the following today on one of my best Russian blade dealers

Yes, that would be a Vladimir Putin 2018 Calendar. Now who can pass up something like that, eh?

Thank you Andrew. Yes I have to use a ton of soap. Not only to feel up the brush but to prevent my face from being scrubbed off while I lather. Not sure this is the best brush for shave sticks. Just saying.
