Wowwwwww, what a shave this was!

I used this South African-made Frosty Bay Rum from River Valley Trading which arrived yesterday and let me say that it's fantastic. It has a most delightful bay rum scent, it's so easy to lather, and it's got a nice menthol effect, along with a very comfortable post-shave feeling. Mohamed is not only a hell of a nice guy, he's a soap genius. This soap really pairs well with the Burt's Bees Bay Rum balm - yes, I still have a little left after so many years and it felt nice and cooling as well as very soothing and moisturizing. My Super Speed/Astra combination is definitely where my bread is buttered. A perfect two pass BBS shave which I enjoyed so much and a special shout-out to my man Rod's mentholated pre-shave soap and my Plissoft synthetic!

CRSW Glide Olfactory Hue today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Perma-Sharp Super in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with YSL M7 Absolu Oud EdT.

So, was today's shave any better than yesterday? Maybe marginally so but still not a really good shave. The problem is with me and the Williams. The only thing different between this puck and the last (which worked great) is that I grated the last puck but have left this one intact. Or maybe I've just lost my Williams mojo, I'm not sure. At any rate there's always tomorrow. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Last Night's Shave 2/7/2018

This was a FREEZING shave - Stirling GLACIAL Wintergreen!! with the witch hazel/aloe and the after shave - this after shave has so much menthol that I was in tears. The Lady Eversharp with the new NOS K-MART blade (the red light special!) gave me a BBS - not the most efficient razor - it takes 3 passes - plus pickups - but i was in no rush....
WHIPPED DOG 30 MM SILVER TIP!! Monster!!

Yaqi DOC/Nacet (2). Like its GSK and PAA antecedents the Yaqi's negative blade exposure and small blade gap make for narrow cutting angles. Stick to the angle and don't over tighten the handle and it's a fine cutter, at least for this daily shaver a pleasant BBS shave. Going ATG in trouble areas no problem here. Head $7.51 delivered.
