This was just one of those shaves when everything 'just worked'.

Three passes for an incredible BBS shave:)

    Razor: Gillette Guard
Blade: Gillette Single Edge Guard (7)
    Shave Cream: Proraso Green
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    AS: Aqua Velva/ Afta
    Newspaper Date: Jan. 11,1944

With 7 shaves, close and smooth enough to compare to a BBS, I think I`m changing my terminology from toy razor to an honest to goodness Razor. When I run out of the Gillette Twistjector blades, I will definetly turn to my new find. Today`s shave was 2 passes, WTG/ATG with clean ups after each pass for a BBS+ shave. Here`s hoping for the same for all. God Bless.

You are welcome Primo, the pleasure is mine. I`m starting to feel better, it is still a long road back, with friends like you, my recovery will be easier, so thank you for your concern. May God bless you immeasurably, sincerely, Bill

    Pre: Warm water face wash
    Brush: EJ Medium PB
    Soap: P&B Spitfire
    Razor: ER 1924 aka Shovelhead
    Blade: Gem SS
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Hawkins & Brimble PSB.

    IMG_20180209_151947.jpg
The 1924 is nimbler than the cumbersome looking head would have you believe and imo, shimming improves it more than any of the other pre Micromatic models, but of course ymmv.
A great end to long week, I hope yours ends as smoothly.

    My shave for Saturday morning:

    L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra day 2
    RVT Green Fields SS
    Nip Man AS Balm
    Lagerfeld Classic EdT

Do I ever LOVE the scent of this Green Fields soap - it's a delightful blend of peppermint and basil. According to Mohamed it's got the same great lather as his other soaps that I've tried so far as well as a pleasant cooling effect and terrific skincare. This Nip Man balm is VERY soothing and moisturizing. I highly recommend it for sensitive skin. Back to my Stirling beauties for Sunday!

I achieved an awesome 2-pass FULL BBS shave with no touchups. Quick shave. I got a very minor weeper under the lip.
This is the first time I have used my boar brush to lather the Williams Mug soap. Always pleased with Williams lather.
The White Birch & Tobacco pre-shave adds an excellent scent and face feel to the lather and shave. Great stuff!
    Have a great weekend.

I almost felt guilty using a modern blade, lather bowl and witchhazel today! GREAT, smooth BBS in 3 pass with the ER 300PBT and Williams, chased with Skin Bracer Burnished Leather and Seaforth Spicy Cologne!

6 hours later and it's still as smooth as freshly scalped!

After the somewhat unhappy Williams adventure, I gave my face a break today and went with stuff I really like. I'll work on the Williams another day. Ill see y'all in about 10 days when my bride and I get back from a cruise we're going on to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Take care and enjoy those shaves.
