Last Nights Shave 2/9/2018

WEST COAST SHAVING DE Razor (short fat handle that has the COOLEST look) with a Open Comb head and a new Treat Black Beauty Carbon Blade. I picked up this stirling ROSE soap and splash during the Christmas season - it was offered only in Refill puck and Small splash bottle for a AMAZING price - I also got there Polo Red Tribute in same sizes - I don't need any more shave software - but the pricing was amazing on these.
GREAT ROSE SHAVE!!! I love Rose scents and the soap commander ROSE Balm just matched perfectly. Also used the stirling tuxedo knot brush that also cost around 9 bucks.. bargain central

I thank you Jeff for turning me on to the GLACIAL stirling line of products - I read your rave reviews and got hooked! eskimo tuxexo, lemon chill, wintergreen, spearmint, The Frozen Cherry (forgot name). and Glacia MITA!!! all amazing - Also have - orange chill, Gin Tonic on the Rocks, Frozen tundra - not glacial but still COLD and GREAT

Update-with apologies to my 19 "likers". I was with my sister this morning over our Mom's house, doing more cleaning out of stuff. I remembered just in time that she recently said that as an AA member, she tries to avoid the SMELL of alcohol, let alone the drink itself. Thus, I decided to change my aftershave to Gillette Gel. Gent's Gin wouldn't have worked for me being with her. For that matter, I better be sure not to use Jeeves Bay Rum around her, too. Or, of course, the other two Clubman Reserve products.

Another fine shave today with this razor/blade combo. Third shave on this blade and it still shaved as it was the first. Two passes with minimal touch up for an extremely smooth and comfortable shave.

I tried two passes with the Vision wide open instead of my usual three. I feel smooth, but I did get a couple small weepers.

Another first time use of what appears to be a hell of a nice South African soap - gonna tell you all about it after my shave!

 

I wanted to try my favorite razor after a refresh on the yellow/green Thuri vs. a refresh on my white Arkie. So, one side of the face with one, then took it back a hair, refreshed again, and shaved the other side. A little smoother with the Arkie is the verdict. Of course, this being a sample size of one and all I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. However, it does show me the Arkie can deliver a fine finish to the edge of my prized Russian.
