Only for US Residents. Canadians have to pay a...err...BORDER FEE! Yeah, that's it! It costs...umm...ahhh...$100, NO, $200! Yeah, that's it!
Check it out Crackstar. It has considerably sped up my dial up service and has many neat features such as spell check. I certainly have not been disappointed since I switched over a year ago. IE toolbars are annoying to look at and use now. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Firefox Edit: Oops looks like Rick beat me to the link.
Just wanted to add my name to the "Problem W/ IE @ Work" list.... At work we have old(er) XP boxes with IE (6??). I couldn't get on at all, either through direct typing in of the web address, or via the links in my email. I just wouldn't connect at all - in fact, I wouldn't even see the blue "loading" bar in the bottom of the window, then after a few minutes it would just display the "The Page Could Not Be Displayed" message. Any other website worked, but all day long this one would not. Of course at home with Vista and Firefox 3 I haven't any trouble at all...
i just downloaded Firefox and its hard to believe how much faster it is no more IE for me!!!!! thanks for the tip cheers charliec
If you do this, the camera on your PC will be directly connected to Google...sort of like their spy cams on street corners. Not available for Mac yet anyway.
But I'm sure it won't be long. However, if you have a PC running windows, for crying out loud, get Google Chrome. If you don't think it's the bomb, I'll personally refund your cost to download it!
I do have a PC, but since I got the Mac, I virtually NEVER use it. As for your refund offer, how very generous! And just how much did you pay for this BETA?
That happened to me yesterday or maybe the day before yesterday. I decided to walk away to get a glass of water and when I came back the page went to wherever I clicked. So who knows....
Some of these issues might be related to the DDoS attack we had awhile back. I'm still further tweaking things to our security. Every once in awhile it thinks a friend is a foe, but those instances should be getting less and less frequent (and much shorter). At this point, if anyone experiences this, it would only last a few seconds I get a report daily, which I use to compare to the ip addresses on our member list, just in case something went wrong. From that, I can see if any friends were misidentified in the last 24 hours. Most days, there are 0 occurances now.
Well, I don't know what you fixed last night, but I was able to get to this post via the link in my email (I'm at work right now). Yesterday I wasn't able to do that, heck, I couldn't access this site at all. Thank you.
I'm continuing to have the same issues using IE 7.0.5730.13. My first contact is instantaneous; however, it takes 1 minute or more to move to subforums.
I have found the problem. It is in a snippet of JavaScript... Code: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript"> if (navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer") {instruct.browser("slow.down")} if (navigator.appName != "Microsoft Internet Explorer") {instruct.browser("run.normally")} </SCRIPT> :happy102 (Sorry! Had to do it)
