Day 4 with this Tech, first with this blade. I’ve switched out knots in this handle. I had a TGN boar in it, but found it lacking in loft. I got a 24mm Stirling Finest Fan brush from Randy @BaylorGator in a trade, got it out of it’s handle (sorry butterscotch fans) and put it in. It is at the full 14mm the hole is at, but looks like it is sitting a little high. To get it deeper will mean drilling out the hole, which I’d not be very keen on doing. It worked fine, however.
Went with a 2 pass shave today (blazer, no tie) with a little jawline touchup and I’d call this near a DFS.
Finished with the favourite Reserve Cool and all is good.
    Have a great day all!

I pulled out the same handle today as well. No Shavemac knot though...
Hmmm... just because one can, does that mean that one should...
    Well done with the Williams.
Nice set up, Clint. Hope things are going well at work.
You must have a large pine tree in your yard as well.
What a great blue themed pic, Perry! The ‘66’ belongs in a favourites shot.

Quick shave to hit the ground running. Happy Valentine’s- a day invented by candy and card companies to leverage and monetize the human need for interaction, acceptance, and inclusion. Just Kidding. Ya’ll have a good one:)

    Yaqi Evil Zebra(26mm, Frigate class)

First shave with the Game Changer was marvelous! Definitely more efficient then the Mamba with just enough blade feel to let you know where the blade is. There was no harshness to the shave and overall the GC was very smooth. By comparison I would say the the GC has the smoothness of the Mamba with the efficient of the MJ-90 with the A base plate. For those you you looking to make a comparison to a vintage Gillette I would say that the feel is somewhat similar to a Gillette New, though the weight of the stainless steel makes shaving with the GC pretty effortless. Finding the correct angle was very intuitive which led to a three pass BBS shave, no touch up required!

Also had my first shave with the Yaqi 26mm. This knot is not nearly as dense as the the 28mm or the 30mm and is lacking the backbone that its larger brothers have. It very very soft however and splays easily, it made a very nice lather in no time. I would say that is has the feel of you typical plisson style brushes. Have a great day my friends!

Valentine's Day and Anniversary shave today. And, for the record, my wife and I did not plan our wedding to be on Valentine's Day, as we didn't plan our wedding. It was a spur of the moment decision that has led to 18 wonderful years for me (maybe not for her:signs002:). It was another gym shave, and I had planned on introducing a new razor, but in keeping with the SE thread 1000 page celebration, I broke out my Type A. Two passes, DFS, and two little nicks. For whatever reason, this razor will bite every now and then. Still a great shave to start this great day. I hope everyone has a great day as well.

    Just a quick update...

Yesterday's have was with the English Flat Bottom Tech and Astra SP. I started out today with that combo but noticed that the blade had gone south, so I grabbed the Yaqi DOC. DFS with no issues or irritation.

On a different note, I did hear back from the AliExpress vendor about the Baili. They asked for a photo of the item which I sent them. We'll see what their next step is.
