A fine three pass shave this morning. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

 

A very enjoyable shave which turned out BBS in two passes. This Vi-John cream I received from Mohamed lathers extremely easily and rich, smells decent, and leaves the skin feeling very clean as well as comfortable. I love that Nip Man balm because it's so cooling and soothing.

La Toja Cream today. 10 seconds to load the Maggard Synthetic brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum in the Black Side Super speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Pino Silvestre Oud Absolute EdT.

I have not taken the time to post about my shaves for a few days.
I have also cut back on the time I spend shaving.
Other priorities are keeping me busy.
Hope all are doing well.
Here is a quick update:

SOTD 02/10/2018 SATURDAY
RAZOR: TopCare (Dorco Pace 6 Blade Handle - SXA1000)
BLADE: TopCare 6 blade (Pace 6 Cartridges)- this blade had been used maybe 6-7 years ago then put away.
PREP: Hot water face wash with Ivory Soap, hot water rinse
BRUSH: NO - applied by hand
PRE-SHAVE: NO
SHAVE CREAM: Gillette VENUS Sugarberry Bliss
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva Musk
BALM: NONE
Used my trusty TopCare Dorco/Pace 6 blade for A QUICK no-nonsense shave. 2-pass BBS. No issues.
BORING.

SOTD 02/11/2018 SUNDAY
RAZOR: Drug Mart CALIBER 5 Pivot Razor (disposable) - Personna/Schick Wilkinson Sword
BLADE: FIVE (*compare to Gillette Fusion 5 Blade razor)
BRUSH: NO - applied by hand
PREP: hot water shower with NOURISH Cool Cucumber Green Tea Moisturizing soap, hot water rinse
PRE SHAVE: None
CREAM: Gillette VENUS Vanilla Cashmere
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse
AFTER SHAVE: British Sterling H.I.M. (Black) Reserve Cologne
BALM: British Sterling H.I.M. (Black) Reserve ASB
Another close but uneventful shave with the Caliber 5 disposable.
2-pass BBS and very smooth.

SOTD 02/12/2018 Monday
RAZOR: Parker SR1
BLADE: Derby Professional blade
BRUSH: Fendrihan Synthetic Brush - black "tuxedo" knot.
PREP: hot water face wash with Ivory Soap, followed by hot water rinse
PRESHAVE: Hot water wash with Ivory soap, followed bloom water from AOS Shave Cream
SHAVE CREAM: The Art of Shaving - Lavender Essential Oil - for Sensitive Skin - face lather
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse.
AFTER SHAVE: Murray & Lanman Florida Water Cologne

Achieved a quick, clean 1-pass DFS shave with some touching up.
Minor nick under the jawline. The Crystal Alum took care of the minor bleeding.

SOTD 02/14/2018 WEDNESDAY
RAZOR: Sabi 3-piece - chrome (3 inch handle, medium weight)- a mildly aggressive razor for me.
BLADE: Feather Hi Stainless Blade- this is the 7th shave on this blade.
PREP: hot water shower with NOURISH Cool Cucumber Green Tea Moisturizing soap, hot water rinse
PRE SHAVE: - Tri Coastal Design White Birch & Tobacco Shave Butter
MUG: repurposed coffee/soup Mug
SOAP: Hybrid Soap Col.Conk LIME & Williams Mug Shave soap
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse followed by application of CRYSTAL deodorant (deodorant stone - potassium alum)
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva Ice Blue
BALM: Maison the Collection - Moroccan Mint Tea Lotion (not pictured)

Used some favorite gear today. Standout performance by the Sabi/Feather combo and the Fendrihan brush
The resulting shave was EXCELLENT (better than the last 3 put together)! 2-pass BBS shave - minor touchups.
