Thanks for sharing this video, Fuzzy. It appears that Williams works well in shave stick form. Your Williams Kung Fu is very strong. :yoda

Awesome! Can't wait to hear how it turns out. :happy088:

It's all your fault if I lose an ear or something. Which blade do you recommend to start? I know nothing of the AC blades!!

No worries. You have two ears. If you take one off with the Pain Stick, put it down, and finish up with another razor after you return from the ER.

You have a pack of Professional blades (black carton) and another pack of Professional Super blades (white carton). The Pro Supers are thicker, and there is more blade exposure. I don't think you'll find a lot of difference between the two blades. I've used both in the Pain Stick, and I get a slightly closer shave with Pro Supers.

@PickledNorthern (and other junior shavers that live in cheap hotels) have commented about the head geometry of the Pain Stick not being very forgiving. For that reason, I would also go with Pro Super blade since it has more exposure, and the head is positioned further away from the skin surface.

Truthfully (and I know this is frowned upon here), I don't think you'll see much difference between the blades. I'd be interested in your thoughts after you compare the two.

Several one-eared guys on the 30DC use Pain Sticks, and I'm sure they'll jump in with more hints and suggestions.

The Pain Stick is more challenging for me to use than the Parker SRX, and I only stay in cheap hotels when I'm on vacation. :)

    Have fun!

Thanks!! And for the record after the ER I would pick the Feather back up. Always get back on the horse.

I stay in cheap hotels just for the fun of it sometimes....

Whew I am so happy that it is Friday at last. It has certainly been a week. However, the shaves this week have been consistently excellent proving to be an excellent start to the hectic days. I really like this WWB brush. However, it still has a chemical scent to the knot that I don't find pleasant at all. If this continues, I will be looking for a replacement knot. The big brush did eat through the last of the Fine Platinum and I actually had to add a little CO Bigelow cream to the mix. @Drygulch Adam added another done and dusted soap to my count please making it the second for the year. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Thumbs up ^^^^. My only other thought is that I HATE Guard blades.

I have an idea: Let’s take a perfectly good, sharp Feather blade, and coil a wire around it to keep the edge away from your face. That way to get a smooth face, you have to apply pressure with your pain stick. Maybe they work great for guys whose whiskers fall out by themselves when they brush the lather on.

As far as my being a junior shaver who stays in cheap hotels? Charlie’s right.

Shave two on this razor, and it was nice and smooth. Two passes and BBS. I actually had a CCS after my first pass, but the shave was feeling so good, I did my second pass. I definitely enjoy this razor. I hope everyone has a great day!

Love your description in the first paragraph about the aircraft carrier. That was really good . And also thanks again for your generosity. I will post a pic of my shave when I put those blades to use .
