Congrats on a well done week with Williams! Geez...say that three times quickly! I hate to worry you, but I'm certain that the puck I've been using isn't the vintage formula! I've gotten a few OK lathers from this puck before, but not as good as the one yesterday. I fear it's Fuzzy Voodoo. The fact that I got a good lather kinda makes me mad. My goal was to suffer through the rest of the puck, using it occasionally when I felt that I needed to be frustrated, then never use it again. If I get good lathers from it for the remainder of the puck, I'm afraid that I'll end up dropping about $1.00 to buy another puck.

Thank you Andrew. I am not sure if vinegar will work or if it will damage the fibers in the knot. I will give the vinegar a try as a last ditch hope before replacing the knot. I enjoy the brush but not the smell.

Thank you, Andrew! I'm hoping so as well. We've been tasked with some curriculum work and trying to reconcile course codes with new offerings. Fun! But we're working as a team and can collaborate in real time on Google Docs, so it goes fairly fast. I took a little break to check TSD.

This morning I had my last shave with the Game Changer before sending it off to the next person in the passarround. I knew after the first shave that I would be buying one and this shave confirms it. 3 passes, BBS, no touchups. Once I get one of these in the den it will probably be my #1 modern razor, dethroning the Baby Smooth.

The monstrous 30mm MS brush is night and day different from the Yaqi silver tip I shaved with yesterday. Huge dense knot that has that wall o badger feel and tons of backbone. This is without a doubt my favorite badger brush. Have a great weekend everyone!

That is a lot to pay for a soap so I feel your pain. I have mixed emotions. I'm happy that I finally conquered the thing but I'll miss shamelessly and wildly bashing it. At least I still have the Flying Eagle and Tiger blades!

 

I'm not sure of anything to be honest. Fuzzy voodoo, tampering with cold medicine, Jedi mind tricks, all on the table and none eliminated as possibilities.
