There are several dark siders in possession of a Dovo Bismarck.

 

You all must, by necessity, then also have a "real type of thing going down"; while at the same time, there is a high probability of "a whole lotta rhythm going 'round."

Another 2xWTG shave this morning. I made my first efforts at stretching the skin and it made noticeable improvements to the closeness of the shave on my cheeks and jawline.

I am still experiencing some red shaving spots on the left-hand side of my neck 5 days in, and I am not shaving against the grain. Is it normal for it to take quite a while for those things to go down? I am still currently using a the shave cream that burns a little (my Proraso hasn't yet arrived).

Good work with the skin stretching. On to the neck irritation. It could very well be the cream. I am not sure if you have to shave daily for work but it might help to take a day or two off from shaving so that the irritation can heal. I've never really experienced the problem so I am sure more knowledgable members will chime in.

Another great shave this morning. I washed the WWB brush out several times with shampoo and the chemical scent seems to be gone. The entire thing seems strange but I hope that is the end of the issue. Three passes and touch ups ended in a wonderful drama free shave. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

 

I’ve got a couple injectors, But haven’t gone down the rabbit hole and shaved with them yet. Right now my soap rabbit hole is deeper than I imagined. Anyway, how would I identify the model #s of my injectors? Do higher numbers indicate more aggressive? Feel free to educate me in the ways of SE, Fuzzy.

I’d suggest “Makeup Brush Latherer” as a better CT.

I’ve never had a shaving soap or cream irritate my skin, but I know folks who have. I’d stop using it. As far as technique goes, learning to use “less pressure” is the biggest learning curve. Every time you think you’ve got it, you realize there’s another level of “less pressure”. Having said that, red bumps sounds like a skin reaction, not a technique issue to me.

Even loading heavily, a puck of Fat seems to last an eternity. But, I have a backup - just in case I ever see the bottom of the dish.

Unless of course you get a new badger, with the badger funk. In that case, you wanna Get The Funk Out. I believe that Extreme can help with that.

 

Yesterday I shaved half and half with Stirling Executive Man and Viking Ragnar. Both are takes on Creed Aventus. The Viking is the Vegan version of the soap, which doesn’t have the slickness of Stirling tallow, but the scent is crazy good. I’m thinking of combining the two, hoping to get “the best of both worlds”. For those of you well versed in the making of Frankensoap, am I more likely to increase the performance of the vegan or screw up the slickness of the tallow? Probably going to do it regardless, but I’m curious on people’s thoughts here.

I used to get redness on my neck as well. A couple of things that worked for me. First, are you sure about the hair growth direction on your neck? I have swirls and hair growing every which way on my neck, but it took a while to figure out. Second, I definitely gave up going for very smooth on my neck for a while and kept it to one pass there for a long while. As long as my neck was socially acceptable, I called it good. The last thing that helped the most was riding the cap. To me maintaining this angle on my neck was the most challenging.

I think the other thing to note is that you are still only about a week into this. It will take a while to really get consistent at it. It took me several months to get consistent.

I have a G8. It’s certainly more aggressive than the G1 but isn’t close to my E2. The E is still king of strong among my injectors.

 

Put up a picture of those injectors and we can identify them for you easily.

 

Thanks, Jason! There is only a small amount in there. This tub case back from the soap passaround with a little left remaining. Maybe sample size. A full tub would certainly take me into summer if I stuck with it!

Take Care with them. They are addictive. Crazy good shaves! I will add the H known as the hussy has a lot of good blade feel too.

The E2 is veddy strong....but like I said this partictular G8 matches it in my book.
