Bulgari Man in Black today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Bulgari Man in Black EdP.

This shave was awesome . The razor is so smooth. It’s a mild razor but smoother than a tech to me. This may be a razor that stays on top for me, I love my techs but yeah .. I know why it’s called velvet.

A very nice shave today using the Maggard head and DeFitch handle I got from @John Ruschmeyer. The added weight of the handle made this feel mild, but very effective. Two passes with a bit of touch up for a very smooth BBS shave.

First time using this soap and aftershave gel, very graciously piffed to me by a member on another forum.
The soap's a pretty good performer and I like the scent, kind of like a mild TCP/liniment sort of thing.
I was expecting much the same from the gel but was surprised by a nice cooling menthol hit.
A very enjoyable shaving experience.
