Today I used the elegant Golden 500, I find that I have no problems with the longer handle. This particular Razor is fitted with a rising lever so can only be used with a single blade.

This Razor in action is incredibly smooth with minimal blade feel, in fact would be described as mild. However , I had no difficulty whatsoever in removing my stubborn beard, and the finish attained is super close all round. This for me has to be one of the best performing modern Schicks [ after H ] confined to the use of a single blade.

Even though I use SEs and injectors on most every weekday, I rarely post to this thread (I know I should). However, I do enjoy reading the postings from everyone.

Since I can’t recall seeing anyone post a Gillette injector, I’ll post my own.

I picked up my rarely used Gillette this morning. It’s been sitting unused for several months since I ran out of twin injector blades and have heard it does not give good shaves with a single blade. It does give excellent shaves with a twin blade.

Going against the advice I’ve been given, I popped in a Chick this morning and gave it a try.

My first impression was that this is a very mild razor. Then I realized that it is also a very maneuverable razor. The first pass was just okay. I did a second pass and this time against the grain. It’s a very forgiving razor and you can rush the shave without fear of nicks or cuts. I ended up with a very enjoyable and close shave.

It’s no Schick E type, but much better than I thought. I’ll use it next week and, if it goes well, the Gillette might go into my rotation.

Doesn’t it look almost identical to a Trac II?

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Musgo Real Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the TOST LE Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor using a Schick Proline B-20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Neat Gillette! Don't recall seeing one of those, but you are right that it closely resembles a Trac II.

One opens and one does not. The one that does not has the straight lines on guard. I have not looked at the identification page yet.
