I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Musgo Real Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the TOST LE Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor using an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today I prepped for shower, but noticed we were it of shampoo. What to do? Well, I used arko as a shampoo bar. Followed that up with an arko shave. Three passes with the muhle silvertip fiber and the ridiculously long Jack Black version of the r89. Finished with Jack Black after lotion.
Which only removed the arko aroma, leaving me with an unscented endeavour. But very smooth and fairly comfy.
No biggy, I spritzed some Blue Seduction over top.
Not my normal scented routine, but I ended smooth, comfy, and smellin nice.

Today's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed American Razor. I had a good 2 pass shave, with DFS results.

It is pretty good stuff. It provides a nice menthol coolness without altering the lime scent.

An Inspired Shave

 

I didn't really need much of a head shave this evening after two passes with the Barbasol this morning, but I figured I'd stick with the schedule and proceed with the R41- Barbasol comparison I want to get to. For head shaves I slightly prefer the handling of the R41 with the 3.5 inch Rockwell handle over the Barbasol with its slightly longer handle. Weight is exactly the same (88g) and right in my sweet spot. Good close n careful shave with the R41 as usual. Very similar in feel to the Barbasol.

February 23 - A week with Tabac - Day 3

Wasn't sure I'd get a shave in tonight. We went out for a couple of drinks which is something we rarely do. Of course the fact I rarely drink anything other than koolaid, coffee and water plays into that. But, there was a get together in a favorite hangout that we went out to. Had a nice relaxing evening and I still had time to get my shave on when we got home.

Day three with Tabac, day four on the blade and the LE brush whipped the lather up in about next to nothing. Yep. That fast. Three full passes, the baby is in the house, I believe the blade is good for another shave tomorrow and I'm calling it the perfect end to a very nice evening. Hope you have great plans for the weekend! It's raining like crazy here again so we're clearly in an early monsoon season along the rivers.

I don't get to use this razor much but with just over 13hrs stubble, today seemed like a good time.
Not a bad shave at all. The Schafmilch left my skin feeling great and the Floid capped it off nicely.

I am fairly certain that there are still some who aren't aware of that fact.

 

Wow, the River Valley Trading soaps have become my second favorites after Stirling - yes, they've knocked the OSP soaps down to third place. I used the Roseline just before and the scent reminds me a lot of the Klar Kabinett soap, but with more of an earthy note so it lessens the rosy scent somewhat and makes it so nice. It lathered like a champ so I was able to do three passes for a good BBS shave. All I needed was a little Lubriderm moisturizer and I'm good to go!
