    The Best Shave A Man Can Get. Shake Sharp v1.0, twin Perma-sharps, first shave edge 2. My Father's Face #3 soap . As close a shave as the R41 or Barbasol but sooo much smoother. [​IMG]

    Soap: Cold River Soap Works “Original” Bergamot & Bay
    Razor: Gillette Pre-War Fat Handle Tech (triangle slots)
    Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (Shave #10)
    Brush: Ever-Ready 50R/TGN Premium Silvertip-20mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Bulgari Blu

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)


    CRSW “Original” Bergamot & Bay today. 20 seconds to load the Ever-Ready 50R/TGN Premium Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Fat Handle Tech. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Bulgari Blu aftershave.

    Lovely Gibbs . And interesting to see the little differences in production. Yours has the diamond knurled adjustment dial, where all three I've had have the vertical lines. I like yours :) . Guess I'm not done.[​IMG][​IMG]

    If there is any rhyme or reason to Gibbs catalog numbers it escapes me, one of mine is №15, one №17, one unmarked.

    I'm afraid the days of bargain Gibbs are slipping away, one on the French bay in good but not exceptional condition went just went for $90. That's twice what it would have gone for a year ago.
