Razor - Gold Aluminum Gibbs No15
Blade - Rockwell ( lol not a particularly good idea)
Brush - Gibbs nylon
Soap - vintage cadrum shave stick
Post - lavender witch hazel
A/s - vintage pinaud lime Sec

I’m Bbs smooth but the shave felt a little aggressive. The razor is super light due to the aluminum head and plastic handle. The only weight it really has is the inner barrel which is metal. The soap is a thirsty soap but it lathers like crazy. The slickness isn’t in it during the shave but as I’m rinsing in between shaves I can feel the slickness. So the soap is absorbing all the moister .. very thirsty.. the scent isn’t that great but not bad. It’s smell like old talcum powder that my grandma used. But even with all that I got one small nick, no irritation and bbs smooth. It was a fantastic shave.

 

I didn't know you could get a Lime in a large bottle. That looks like a 12.5 oz.

You know I don’t even know how many ounces the bottle is. It’s an old lime sec that has lost some of the sweetness and has a weird but I got use to it scent now.

I mention the bottle size because Doc Pinaud has an Original Scent in that size(the "neck" makes it larger than the normal 6 oz). You say it's an old lime sec-makes me wonder if he had a Lime in the 12.5 size to begin with, then cut it down to the 6. And now, after futher review, I see that the Lime Sec. has always been 12.5.

 

Da Comrades, I am partial to my Russian Razors. But you already know that. This was my first. A wonderful shave today.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #105 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Razor using a Henckels Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
