This week seems to be going by very quickly. In fact the entire month seems to have gone by quickly. The software for today is C&S Oxford and Cambridge with its scent of peppermint over a base of lavender. This is the fragrance that Fine used as inspiration for the scent of their lavender aftershave and soap. Also Reef Point Tranquility has the same scent profile. I found the Oxford & Cambridge easy to load and lather and the scent though light lingered through the shave. Three passes and minimal touchups left me with my usual near perfect shave. I can honestly say that the Rocnel SE-G razor has moved into my top tier of razors that I enjoy using. Provided I do my part with a light touch the SE-G is very efficient and smooth. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

    February 2018 Recap

During February I tried to mix in some of my proven favorites and explore some newer items. The OneBlade Genesis continues to impress me by delivering carefree work morning shaves quickly and efficiently. At the end of the month, I was able to score a Rocnel SE-G razor that has also proven to be a welcome addition to the den.

However, my biggest takeaway for the month continues to be the fellowship exhibited on this thread daily. I enjoy the daily banter and sharing. It was also a pleasure following along as some of the newer guys mastered their techniques and joined in the fun. I look forward to sharing March with the 30DC.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick L5 'Revere' injector
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
Lather: Jeeves of Hudson Street Turkish Bath
Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Easy shave again today. The Turkish Bath is slowly being used up. Still will get a few shaves out of it. Great soap. Overall terrific results. Really enjoy the Schick Revere injector. Interesting handle shape but a mild and smooth razor that gets the job done.

    Have a great day!

Finishing off an awesome FAVuary with the favourite Palmolive Stick. A great lather and another smooth 2 pass shave. Technique-wise, I have gone to 2 pass shaves quite a few times this month, and have been getting good results.
I have really enjoyed Favourites February. I split the month between a NEW LC, a prewar fat handled Canadian Tech and a Schick E3. All razors are amongst my favourites. For software, I stuck to favourite soaps for either scent, performance or both. Primarily, I used B&M, Stirling and First Canadian tubs, along with Palmolive menthol, my favourite cream, and Palmolive Classic, my favourite stick.
Still have to work out exactly what I will be doing for March...
    Have a great day all!

Thanks Andrew! :happy088: It was an NOS brush that I sent to @clint64 for re-knotting. He filled the hollow interior with weights so the brush is heavy and now has a great feel to it.

For the last shave of FAVuary I choose my favorite new soap, Eventide. This soap is an amazing Oud forward scent with the Raspberry, Lime, and Rose fragrances blended in to make just a bit sweeter and tangier! No problems with smelling any badger funk over this scent because it is easily a 9 on the strength scale and filled the whole bathroom. 3 passes to a DFS and the GSB I'm using is starting to lose its sharpness a little. No aftershave today but I'm still catching whiffs of Eventide every now and then! have a great day my friends!
