I've been an alum block user for last couple years, but Tom's Witch hazel, Vodka (I used Everclear), Vitamin E, and scent oil from KleanSpa might change my mind.

Head & Face Shaves (5 days growth)
    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Brush: Barburys synthetic
    Cream: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor (face only): CJB Pain Stick
    Blade: Feather Professional (1)
    Razor (head only): Schick G1
    Blade: Schick (2)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Pinaud Clubman AS

I'll spent the month of March working on taming the CJB razor. My first use today went well.... I nearly finished an extraordinary face shave without drawing any blood. But I ended with a nick on my neck which took a couple of applications of the styptic pencil before the bleeding stopped.

Been using it on the days I don't use a straight. It is hysterically smooth with a ted pella.

    Fri 2nd Marc.

    Vulfix 404 mixed
    Vitos Super Red
    Schick Type F
    Schick S/S [ 3- Japan]
    La Toja A/S Lotion

Used the Vitos which seems to work well with every combination, today was no exception . An extremely pleasant Shave, resulting in an ultra close finish, The F is getting close all round even along the Jawline. Just wonder how the blade will last, I only have a few of these Japanese Single blades so will have to try a Chick next. Or maybe a Proline which did not work out too good, I suspect I spoiled the Edge.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The L'OCCITANE Cade Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #105 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Razor using a Henckels Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I probably didn't need to shave even 36hrs after my last shave but then I wouldn't have had anything to post here so I grabbed the Superior and put the bigger Jayaruh handle back on it. Another fine shave was had.

    Sat 3rd March.

    Omega 11137 boar
    Lea Classic soap
    Mongoose B3
    Schick Proline [ 8 ]
    Lea Classic A/S Lotion

An interesting Shave today after 3 Days on a Schick Type F Injector, which had delivered excellent Shaves. The Mongoose with its larger head is a more aggressive Razor, so it was no surprise that the Shave Time was much quicker. In terms of quality of all round finish there is not a huge difference. The main difference between the Razors is that the Type F is so forgiving , whilst the Mongoose needs care/ concentration during the Shave otherwise it may well bite.

I've got the whole Barbershop Collection that matches your shaving mug. It includes a wooden shelf, shaving mug, brush/razor holder, combination boar/badger brush, and a soap dish. I have them all packed away in storage but I may have a picture that I could post somewhere.

My wife found this cased MMOC last weekend at an antique store, nice 2 pass DFS for its maiden voyage. I read that this marbled green case is not as common as the normal brown one.[IMG][IMG]

Used a early model E2 today. I found out it is no where near as aggressive feeling as another one I have. Veddy nice shave though. Marvys soap and brush worked great too.

    Omega 11126 boar
    Speick Active soap
ES Claymore V1 & Windrose Handle
    Schick Proline [ 12 ]
    Pitralon Original A/S Lotion

Since changing the handle on the Claymore I am getting more assured Shaves. Not quite sure why but the Razor/Blade combo seems to be getting better after each use. With a superb lather from the Schick I had a really relaxed Sunday morning Shave, the finish quality is as good as those I get with my ATT or Mongoose, is especially good when working on the neck.
