I prefer no Latakia. English Navy Flake often includes Latakia, as well as a traditional topping. Gawaith makes tobacco the way it's supposed to be made according to tradition, and it's premium stuff. Lots of respect for Gawaith as a maker, though I rarely smoke their stuff. If you wanted English Flake, you've obtained AAAA quality intro!
I knew that. Not a Latakia type. I think I will buy more of the Orlik strong dark kentucky though. Really nice stuff.
You may really like it, maybe not. Squadron Leader has both Latakia and Orientals. Only one way to find out!
I haven't tried the one at the top, but the other two are good stuff. Toasted Burley is my every day smoke. I add a pinch of Perique for the extra spiciness.
@jimjo1031 - you're all set for an old fashioned roll up the windows & take a drive smoke out! It may be the trend of the young folks wasting those cheap cigar stuffings and rolling blunts that keeps me from being pulled over to have my "paraphernalia" inspected. The State of Louisiana has Zero Tolerance.
I've done that years ago with cigars, just leaving a window open a crack. It's funny seeing the expressions on people's faces. Reminded me of Cheech and Chong's "Up In Smoke".
Picked up these jars from Dollar Tree. They look nice but they didn't have seals on them. The lids do seem to do a good job, but I made some seals from some thin foam, just in case. Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
Natural Dutch Cavendish from a new order in the Old-Vic. I have a couple larger glass jars in clean up right now. Previously used and set aside for preserves or canning vegetables, they get dusty not being left with lids on. Tapatalk Via Kyocera
The piece of wood in that last photo is mahogany. Measures 1-3/4" thick, 9" wide, 13" long. I think it just might become brush handles... Tapatalk Via Kyocera
If you're going to use those jars, I'd very strongly suggest Saran wrapping them up before you close the lid. Foam is porous. If you put water in one if those with a foam seal and invert the jar, leave overnight. If it leaks water in any way, it isn't airtight. Air molecules are smaller than water.
Before I did this, I put water in one of them and placed it upside and kept it there for an hour. It didn't leak by themselves, but I think I will pick up some 3.25 inch canning lids, these are the same size. I got these jars because I like the shape of them with twelve sides.
The gal at the tobacco storegave me the ladt of the C&D exclusive yesterday. It is pretty dry. I packed some in a kaywoodie white briarfor the ride to work. Not to bad. This is one of the few straight pipes I kept.
Concur with Chris, Gawith flakes are different. I used to enjoy SG Chocolate Flake quite a bit, and FVF is outstanding but is a pain to prepare, being very thick.
