I am not...nor will I be a fan of modern DE razors....that being said....That is a BEAUTIFUL razor!!

Mine were dropped off after I left the Den for work. I will have a report tomorrow. I am going to use the stubby handle. Some of my best lather catcher shaves are with the stubby handles.

BULLY!!! Your making us proud!!

You get a bonus spin because I see williams. Problem here is there are NO SE razors. What's up with that Sir?????

Third shave with the Marvys soap and the brush provided by @sdguero went well. No lather problems. I fired up the early model E2 I got last week. A completely different feeling shave from what I get with my regular rotation early E2. Veddddyyyy nice shave though.

I use very short strokes. I have a few videos of how I do it.

Good viddy. I tried to open my E series Schick to clean it. Concerned about bending something and causing irreparable damage. You make it look easy.

Does Fred's still keep the blades on the shelf?

 

Not all the E2s open. If it is pinned on both sides do not force it. The ones that open do so easily.

Freds stopped with the injector blades probably 10 years ago now. I found the last ones in Rolling Fork MS.

Shave 3 of 30

So tonight was my third shave with the Slim Focus AI shavette with Sharps blade. It went better than last night's shave despite a few more nicks and a tiny weeper. The weeper was definitely my fault though, I was trying to find the angle on my upper lip, turned it so it was perpendicular, and felt the bite. But it was done with by the final cold water rinse.

The first pass is always "traditional", a WTG pass. Subsequent passes go wherever I can get the blade angle to feel natural. I was able to figure out the neck a bit more, though after cleaning up there were a few hairs that are noticeable, will have to see how it looks in the morning. I figured out the chin a bit more, at least the sides. The center is still unsure.

I did do a quick pass with the E3 and called it good. Next came the alum. it sang, but not as bad as I was expecting. I pitched the blade when I was all done. I could maybe have gotten a few more shaves out of it, but it just felt right so into the blade bank it went.

Tomorrow brings a new shave...

 

As cheap as $179 for a queen set. Not saying you'd enjoy sleeping on it but it is coils with a cover.

 

I really make some strange faces doing my upper lip , but it seems to work . Worse spot is right under the nose . I used my blade 2 times and disposed also. Not taking any chances .

 

Great shave tonight. Starting to figure this beast out . Couple more shaves and I should be satisfied with my results. Went nose to ear on pass 2 and found it to be way smoother. 3rd pass was more of a cleanup. By the end my blade had had enough. Happy shaves everyone.

 

Wooweee...the Expedition has a luggage rack. I will bring rope.

 

Could be worse, I think. Horsehair, maybe?

 

Make sure to tie it tight. I was on the Garden State Parkway this morning and we all had to swerve around someone's X-Car-Go that must have fallen off the roof of their car.

Continuing on with March Moving Madness. Stayed with the New LC, Soap Commander, Jayaruh #46 and Sharp Star. I'll do three shaves with each Soap and razor I choose, then the final week will be one razor, soap and brush.

Soap Commander has to be some of the slickest stuff on the planet. Quick and easy, it lays a solid foundation for a super shave. The LC made the horrible, awful, and terrible Sharp Star deliver another BBS. It's a near miracle. Seriously. Save yourself the heartache. Send me your Sharp Stars.
