That Feather razor is the best looking pain stick I’ve seen.

    March 4

    Parker SRX shavette
    Perma-Sharp Super (2)
    Castle Forbes Lavender shaving cream
Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and three cookies

Still fairly close from yesterday's shave, I opted for a one-pass plus touch-up, mostly ATG, shave today. I applied the CF Lavender brushless, finished up with Thayers and USB. All done in about seven minutes. I plan to try Feather blades in the Parker SRX this week. It will be my first use of a Feather blade in more than two months and a first in this particular razor. It will be interesting to compare the Feather against the Russian blades I've used (which have all been excellent).

After a few weeks of use, the springiness of the Parker's blade holder has lessened, making blade changes easier. I hit it with some Scrubbing Bubbles today between blade changes, and it cleaned up like a new penny. It's well-built, not overbuilt or fancy by any means, and it just reminds me of using a good tool. I'm convinced that it is one of the best overall values (price vs. performance) in traditional wet shaving. Opinions vary, but I think it's a fun razor to use. It builds skill, rewards good technique, and leaves me with a feeling of accomplishment after the shave is complete.

We've had some beautiful weather here in Kentucky these past couple of days. Rain is in the forecast, but Spring is just around the corner. I hope you all have a great upcoming week.

I had the BK8 long before the BK12. I was always curs about the BK12 and then a member of. Our 30DC buys one and raves about it. It even won a brush off. That inspired me to by the 12, and I am happy I did, it is a wonderful brush and absurdly huge.

Great photo Charlie. I will be in Kentucky in about a month so I am hoping that spring has arrived by then.

Any conversation with yourself that starts with "hey idiot" is going to be a good conversation. Unless the reply back to yourself is a particular hand gesture.

Remember when chatting up the ladies that if a fine shave doesn't impress.......chicks dig scars.

I hear they aren't so impressed with Scab Collections. Also never compliment them on their mustache or other facial hair no matter how magnificent it may be.

And I’m 14 pages behind again.

So today was my second shave with the Leopard Shavette.

I was confident going into the shave, since the last one went pretty well. Here’s a visual depiction of what happened with the Leopard today.

I have a hollow behind my jaw bone that I can typically get with a straight by lifting the heel of the razor under my ear. Under my left ear, I felt it bite, and put the septic pencil on it after my first pass. It kept bleeding. I also managed another cut on my cheek. At that point I muted the tip of the razor on the side of my granite countertop. Is that cheating, @Bama Samurai? Finished my next two passes but used a little too much pressure. I sharply inhaled on the Alum, and cussed like a sailor with the splash. Put on a new T-shirt and joined my family for dinner. My wife screamed when she saw me. Apparently I was still bleeding. Took my shirt off to get the blood out, and she snapped this.

I think the Leopard won this round.

At work tonight. I used brushless vintage Williams cream tonight. Not much fun but it worked.
