  1. Thanks. I’m going to be on the road a lot.
My wife is still is very bruised. She went to a chiropractor today and says it helped. Thanks for asking.

  2. Man, one long weekend away and it took me an hour and a half to catch up.

I got to take part in wedding festivities for two of my favorite old students. Two long days but worth every minute for a beautiful wedding of two fantastic people. Then, while cleaning up late Saturday night to get the church ready for Sunday morning, the church septic system backed up. Like, every toilet in the place. We ended up having to cancel Sunday services. It was a crappy situation.

This month has been the closest I have ever come to a rule. I've been using the soap base I have been testing out exclusively, along with my Feather AC SS and my 30DC brush. Only variable has been aftershave. The only switch was tonight. Allergies are killing me due to early yellow snow (pollen) from unseasonably warm weather down south, and I am all stopped up. So tonight I switched up and brought out my CRSW Limenthol soap, the CJB pain stick, and Avon Island Lime aftershave. This is one of my favorite warm weather soaps, and the menthol is just enough to clear the sinuses a bit.

My daughter's 18th birthday is coming up next weekend, and it is starting to set in that she will be graduating in a couple of months. She asked me to take her out for some senior pics last weekend. I'm glad that she still likes to hang out with the old man. She's made me mighty proud.

  3. It's all as a result of hero-worship... striving to be like the veterans in the 30DC thread. Thanks! ;)

Thanks for the advice, Charlie! :happy088:

Sounds like a hectic weekend in spite of the "situation" you speak about.... :happy102: I'm laughing at your description, not at the problem it created for everyone.

Your daughter is beautiful, Chris! It's amazing how quickly they grow up. We have 2 boys. The youngest is 18 and the oldest will be 21 next month.... 21!!!! I used to wrestle with them when they were little guys. Can't do that anymore.
  4. Thanks Dan! I'm rather partial to her myself. I still have a 12 year old son who is pushing 6' and a firecracker 6year old daughter to keep me young (or make me older).

In many ways not a terrible shave. Missed a few spots, no real nicks or weepers, mild alum burn. Sounds pretty good right. Until you look at my lower neck, I haven't had this many razor bumbs or redness since I quit carts, it looks truly awful. Not sure what did, or didn't do, but boy I'm disappointed. Also i load a ton of soap, however, my lather is always rather light and thin with little to no residual slickness. I'm so confused, I take one step forward and two steps back.

  7. Agreed.

  8. Couple questions:
    1. Do you whip your lather in a bowl or mug, or do you go directly from the tub to your face and face lather?
    2. How many passes do you do with the razor and in what directions?

  16. One of my favorite parts of this thread is the periodic family photos. Your daughter is beautiful Chris. Knowing you, I’ll bet her character and inner beauty would stun us if we could see it. Cheers, Brother!
  17. Congrats on the great progress. Great photo as well.

  20. Best car ever from the Ford Motor Company. It takes an 8-minute commercial to describe it, and it is Cartel approved (start vid at 6:25).
