  1. Great family picture Charlie. My father and grandmother made fruitcakes each fall and soaked them as you describe.

    Krampert’s Bay Rum Aftershave

A rainy morning here which made the morning PT with Mocha interesting but at least it helps with the pollen. The big Thäter is such a luxurious brush that like a cloud while lathering. With a nice slick base of Jeeves Bay Rum, I went with a 3 pass shave followed by touch ups along my jaw line and lower right neck. I came close to catching the baby but my lower right neck proved to be my nemesis. A splash of Krampert's Bay Rum. Aftershave left my face feeling fantastic. I do wish the scent had more staying power. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
  3. Beautiful daughter, Chris! Happy early birthday to her!
  4. Terrific picture, Clint!

    Razor: CJB Pain Stick
    Blade: Kai Titan Mild
    Brush: Stirling Kong
    Lather: TSD Pumpkin Spice
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum with Lime and Peppercorns
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

A great shave this morning with the Pain Stick, as I once again did one pass for a CCS. I finished off this soap this morning, @Drygulch. I thought of would get at least one more shave, but it all disappeared into the brush as up loaded. I will rotate a few soaps this week before finding my next one I look to use up. I hope everyone has a great day!
  6. Thank you, Clint. Have a great day, my friend.
  7. Gentlemen, as usual you're on it with great shaves and fantastic photos! Have a blessed day.

  8. Apparently you southern guys up north sent a load of your pollen to us along with yesterday's cold front. I had to resort to three passes and an AS spritz of Stirling Glacial Lemon to breathe this morning. Other than that, all is quiet in Florida.
  9. Ah, yes. That's why we refer to the Bradford Pear tree as the spawn of Satan.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 injector
    Brush: JR #142 badger
Lather: Country Club for Men Cahaba Blues
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave

Easy and enjoyable shave with the tobacco Tuesday theme. The scent of the Cahaba Blues soap is very close to the Jeeves Tobacco splash. It's a terrific scent. I found another tub of Cahaba Blues on a BST site and bought it last night. It's not being made at the moment as Country Club is rebuilding their website and adding new products. Don't think he's making soap at the moment. This was a special run anyway, so I nabbed up some when I saw it.

Nice shave all around. Busy day today as we travel to a local high school for concert band assessment this afternoon. I have two concert bands, and each will play three pieces that we've been hammering since January. We'll be judged on stage performance and sight-reading, which is where we are given a piece of music the students have never seen before, you get 7 minutes to study it, and then you play it. So I'll be wrapped up in all of that this afternoon into the evening.

    Have a great day!

  13. Wonderful picture, Perry!
  14. Thanks, Clint!
  15. Thank you for posting the recipe, Charlie! My great grandmother used to make a very good fruit cake, so I will have to give this a try.

  19. I always hated sight reading. Worse in singing than in playing trombone (yep - reformed band geek. All County Honor Band, Orchestra and Jazz Band in Jr. High). At least when you are playing you can just guess the range of the note, put the slide where it should go, and let the note come out. In singing you gotta nail it. The way praise teams and music have evolved in the church scene, I haven't had to sight read in years. Most singers can't even read music anymore.
