Very brisk and extremely blustery day today. Gave me the urge for some spicey tea and a spicey shave. Went all out with the Stirling Spice & Old Spice Vintage Burley. Great aroma and scent in the air that soothed the senses and had myself a 3 pass BBS finish. The Gillette Twinjector paired with the Schick Twin II blade is a match Just meant to be. Just an awesome shave. Have a great evening and shaves Gents..... ​

MENTHOL MONDAY

Post: Givenchy Gentleman balm, Stirling MITA WH


Very cold menthol Monday shave this afternoon. The TSD Polynesian Red is a fresh fruit scent. Threw a bunch if menthol crystals in this sample a while back, at first was a bit hard to lather, but kept whipping till I had a thick yoguart consistancy. Finished off with Stirling MITA witch hazel which combined with the soap was almost painfully cold. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

The F-400 XXL is just a monster. It’s Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde. Beastly performer but if care is taken a mild mannered brute. Love mine. Hope you’re enjoying yours as well.

New setup for three days. Aristocrat, Stirling Iced Coffee and Jayaruh 54. Fresh Sharp Star. I'm a glutton for punishment.

The Iced Coffee adds a nice menthol kick for Monday and three passes leaves a baby behind. And the scent.....wonderful and still noticeable. Looking forward to two more days before packing this one.

Thanks. I really like the F-400 XXL. It quickly became a favorite to use. Surprisingly it is fairly easy to clean. I thought it would take forever with the size. The crazy thing is my number just came up at Wolf Whiskers and I configured a new brush tonight! Last time I went the Badger route, but this time I'm trying the 3rd batch Black Wolf 25mm Hybrid Fan. I struggled with the knot decision, figured nice brush - get the top of the line knot, but the Black Wolf seems to get good reviews and the right synthetics work great.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem Damaskeene Razor using a Personna Gem CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
