I think I will shave the lab this morning, he will be good practice. If only I could get someone to hold him still, he is a pup.
This post is for anyone who is interested, but mainly for Tracy and Shep. Tracy (and everyone else) - I lathered up some SCS Coconut Oil last night. Took me five minutes to whip up in a mug (yup... timed it for ya). I used an almond sized amount and quite a bit of water, as I'm sure you're aware. I actually ended up using a touch too much water. I did manage to get some good fluffy lather, but it was a tad bit runnier than I like (did not run off the face) and I will admit... not as cushioning and fluffy as my beloved TOBS and Salters. However, the shave was great: very slick and close. My face always feels great after using SCS creams. I'll be shaving with some more of the SCS in the near future, so I'll keep you updated. Shep - tried out the Speick A/S two nights ago. Wow. I only used it once after a very good shave, so I can't rate its razor burn fighting qualities yet, but it smells amazing and feels great on the skin. I've already got a bottle of this coming to me. It might give my beloved Tabac A/S a run for the money.
If I weren't still waking up I would put a pancake on his head. Thanks for the info Dom. I kind of wish I hadn't sold my SCS creams, but I am just not a patient person. I always seemed to get them too thin and while they did an ok job and cushioned well they weren't as good as me TOBS. That speick was darn good stuff Shep sent us. I also have a bottle on the way. I used it after the other day after trying to get one more shave out of a feather that was too far along. Didn't get terrible razor burn but did have some and the speick worked wonders and burned like hell when applied. It was then that I knew I needed some. I think I am going to run into problems when I get close to my labs tail. He never stop wagging the damn thing. Time for a shower and shave and then I have to get to work. I will check back in at work. Hopefully it will let me post a little better today. Seemed to get a little better towards the end of the work day yesterday. I might have to do the FF on a flashdrive that I believe Jim talked about. See ya all soon!!
Waffles? French toast? Croissants? I have no idea what you're talking about. To be quite honest, I do prefer waffles to pancakes. We've just got this thing about pancakes in here...
Dominic, Do you sleep? I went to bed at 11 and got up at 6. Logged on to TSD at 8:30 The irony of JoAnna starting a thread about dreams and i had a very good dream last night I cant go into details though b/c ......well you know
Sleep? Eh... not much, to be honest. The guys that came over here with me know that I'm usually up until ungodly hours in the night. I also have a slight bit of trouble falling asleep sometimes, so that doesn't help. I like to be up late and I like to wake up early. It's a deadly combination, to be quite honest. I probably went to sleep around 4 last night.
I'm back. Got some snow last night and I was hoping we would have gotten enough for me to bust out the Komatsu front end loader. I like it when I get to push some snow around. Unfortunately not enough to go play.
Red Dragon in is just too much fun. I always play the cute girl in the plate mail. Once I'm actually old enough to get drunk, the first drunk card game I intend to play is that one. I also think we should all try to run a drunken D&D campaign. We record all of our sessions so at the very least it will be entertaining when we're sober. those are all great games. Try to make some time for them
crepes are for shoving through objects...whatever that means, it's just something I've read "somewhere" before... and what is this "sleep" thing I keep hearing abo*yaaaaawn*out? games? I hardly have time for them...try to play with my Wii when I can, a few games on my Zune and Palm, but only quick games that can be done in short spurts, I don't, and never have had, patience for looooooong games, and even if I did now, don't have time to spare, you know, responsibilities and all - husband, daddy, worker, shave-forum poster, youth minister, woodturner, off-hours computer tech, my church's tech guy, wal-mart shopper, air breather, food consumer, .....the list goes on and on
We haven't had any snow stick here yet. It's going to be somewhat of a pain getting around on my bike when the snow hits, but I'll live. Unless I hit an ice patch and skid off the road into a tree or something. I always play the wizard. He's got a bunny named Pooky. A BUNNY!
Dom, you need to look into some help from a doc. about your insomnia. Little pills that work magic. How do you get thru the day? BTW, I busted out the almond TOBS this morning, man that stuff is good.
