I had an excellent D(olphin)FS this morning. OOps that's Dolphin SMOOTH. Well, one outta two ain't bad. I really need to do some serious work washing the razor sent to me by Mr. Houseboat man(see above). If I can't get it done, maybe a carwash can. :angry017::angry017:

    Razor: CJB Pain Stick
    Blade: Kai Titan Mild
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Lather: Stubble Trubble Up & Adam
    Aftershave: Clubman Vanilla
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

Not quite as much time as yesterday, so I was back to a one pass CCS this morning. I haven't used this soap in a little while, and that is too bad. IMO, Stubble Trubble is a top performer, right with Stirling and Route 66. This scent is also just great. It all made for a nice start to my day. I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Day 8 with the SC, 2nd with a Wizamet. 30DC Inspired shave earlier this morning. Soap from @Keithmax , razor from @Linuxguile and balm from @Screwtape . Got a little burn from the balm and was a bit worried, but it went away quickly and no signs of irritation from it.
    Have a great day all!

@clint64 and @Norcalnewb, terrific photos and reports this morning. Clint, the only way to improve your photo would be to put a Delta Echo treated razor in it. If you think carefully about that, I am sure even a single adult beverage would drive the point home...

It's FatBoy Friday and you pulled out a great one. Nothing wrong with that shave!

Fantastic picture of a marvelous razor. What blade gap do you have? I know you have a Darwin handle, how do you like it? I have one on the way. I've yet to grab a WRH7, that will change if I get to order a Copper WR1.

Another great photo, the background is awesome. Great setup.

Excellent photo, sir. I'll continue to live vicariously through you on the pain sticks! :happy108:

    Stirling Dunshire
African Black Soap pre-shave face wash

Today's shave was sponsored by my friends at The Shave Den. I forgot to soak my Stirling badger during my shower, no worries, I grabbed the @Jayaruh 223 brush. A dunk in hot water and a little shake and I went to work on the Dunshire tub. After spreading it evenly across my face and a dunk in the bloom water held by a VDH bowl acquired in barter with @RyX, the Maggards synthetic proceeded to produce a thick goop that glistened in the light. The Rapira SS was generously supplied by @NCoxSTL and loaded with ease using the unbelievably easy to use Toggle mechanism on the D1. While I generally gravitate to the Platinum coated blades, the Rapira SS provides a nice, smooth, forgiving shave. I went with a typical N/S pass followed by a S/N pass on setting 9. Then proceeded to do an ear-to-chin pass...and just because, I followed with a chin-to-ear pass on my face and jawline only on setting 5. I am continually impressed by having multiple razors in a single, simple to use axe. I followed up with the Dunshire splash and balm to calm the windburn I got on the course yesterday. Thanks to the sponsors I ended up with a super smooth mug and a pretty danged close neck.

Have a great day, men. Mine has started out in outstanding fashion.

And that's why I visit the TSD Welcome Center. I can't make folks enjoy their shaves. I just hold the 30 DC door open like a Costco greeter.

    learning curve you are here.gif
Lather happens without conscience effort. You're hands don't shake when you pick up your razor. You've stop counting number of uses of a blade and just change one when it feels like it's time. Angle of attack is intuitive because muscle memory has developed. No more pressure that what's needed. Skin stretching without thinking about it.

There are a bunch of little improvements that happen over time. When they all come together you will have a Zen Shave. No errors, perfect results.
Then you'll buy a new razor and start all over again ;)

Behind again. Yesterday was one final shave with the Bakelite Simplex razor and GSB. BBS with no issues. It's an interesting razor which will, no doubt, have a turn in the rotation. That brings us to today...
