Thank you sir. I reached for the Wolfman then I remembered it was Adjustable Friday! Almost grabbed a SA Black Beauty instead. It's just so danged hard not to play with a Toggle.

Did I miss pics? It's always fun to enable my friend. You gotta give me the run down on how you like it.

 

Another great shave today! Not the closest, but really damn comfortable! 3 passes WTG - my face feels fantastic (no alum burn)!

Post Shave: Nivea Sensitive

I have also been bowl lathering with superb results. I am finding that I am having a thicker lather that provides better protection for the full 3 passes. I'm wondering if lathering on my face might have been causing some irritation with it being a boar brush too!

 

Congrats on the comfortable shave. It might be a good idea to stick with bowl lathering for now.

I’m not sure that face-lathering, regardless of brush, would in itself result irritation. However, you may be getting the lather to ‘looking good’ status on your face, without perhaps getting it to the level of hydration you would in a bowl. When are starting out with different soaps, it is sometimes easier to get them in the bowl first to really determine how much H2O they will take. I agree with @clint64 ’s advice to stick to bowl lathering for a bit.

 

It may be a frankenrazor, Chris, but I had to do a double-take. That bar handle seems to match the OT head beautifully.

Glad to hear the brush is working well, John. Time to ditch the Lords, IMHO, if they aren’t giving you top tier results.

The Omega ‘49 is just a great brush for the price. Great combo this morning, Perry.

Sounds like a great shave, Clint. Shame about the scent strength of the Kramperts if the skin care is top notch and you want to reach for it.

Great combo, Jim. I think we all have a soap or two like that, where we use it and say, ‘Dang, why don’t I use this more often’. That was Palmolive for me until @Bama Samurai ’s thread reminded me how good it was.

I think I’m solid on the ‘NB for something like this. A few things would get me to cave though- a boxed set of NOS Vintage Old Spice for a couple bucks at a junk store? Cave. $5 mint Bostonian at a flea market? Cave. Rubberset 4oo for $8 at the goodwill? Cave.
Nothing new would get me off this, I think.
Came home from work at lunch today and have a bit of time to search... again, for research purposes only...

@Douglas Carey has actually made a calendar the fast few years. He puts them out at the end of the year, so look put for it.

 

Thank you Jason. I might end up replacing my bottle of Captain's Choice Bay Rum and use a little of it along with the Krampert's .

 

I could use a couple that size this evening. What a week.
